España TAPA TAPA Spanish Resturant — Restaurant in Taichung

Went there last week with my gf, first I asked to an old guy who seemed to be the owner, if it was OK that I have a bottle of red wine, he said no problem. Then we ordered the 2 most expensive sets which were the Paella $398 and the Lamb $395. First we got a salad which looked good but the dressing was sweet way too sweet not much Spanish. After we had 2 soups , a seafood chowder ,it tasted like they have dropped the salt shaker in it, and a kind of French onion soup which was ok. Finally we got the small Paella without any taste and the lamb which was ok. At the end we got a tiny pudding for dessert. Not sure if this has anything to do with Spanish food besides the fake Spanish decor. Surprised me with Doritos for nachos. Masquerading it with faux cheddar cheese with similarly bright yellow jalapeño peppers. The chicken in the Paella, I regret accidentally swallowing. Smelled like it was regurgitated by an animal and put into fish brine and resimmered in sweat. It was like eating stinky games chicken with unwavering strong B.O. Also in the “paella” were the usual hot pot ingredients, fish cakes and what not. I highly recommended anyone not to trespass...

🏡環境⭐⭐⭐⭐ 騎樓很多花花草草，像個異國花園，還有鳥。餐廳內由於有些年紀，看起來滿復古的。 💃服務：⭐⭐⭐⭐ 所有餐點都要10%服務費。 餐具吃完會勤快的收走，也會介紹醬料怎麼吃比較好。 聽說開了30年(沒記錯的話)以上，可見對於西班牙/墨西哥料理的功力了得。 菜單很有年代感XD 老闆滿有個性的，阿姨和媽媽都跟老闆聊得很開心。 😅吃過後，由於不太習慣部分料理的風味，內心給3.5星，但看媽媽&阿姨聊得愉快，直接五星。

🍴我們點888$的超值雙人套餐(要再另外加一成服務費=976$) 以下價格為菜單上未加成的原價標示，就料理心得分述如下 ❶🌿主廚特製沙拉150$：兩人一份，美味又大份！蔬菜新鮮清爽，起司給不少！沙拉醬感覺是凱薩醬，超大顆橄欖，我不愛橄欖QQ ❷🧀西班牙起司捲80$：一人一份，有超多番茄，而且起司會牽超長的絲，棒！ ❸🌮墨西哥塔克210$：一人一份，莎莎醬有辣！滿開胃，而且起司不少，但此料理內也會放橄欖QQ ❹☕法式濃湯：找不到菜單內價格，應該55$~60$吧，一人一碗，滿濃密好喝的，有放馬鈴薯。 ❺🍚巴賽隆納海鮮頓飯268$：兩人一份，份量不少！但個人不喜歡ˊˋ，有一種特殊的味道，配料海鮮蔬菜等的給很多！ ❻🍮卡達拉那甜點50$：老闆說是西班牙奶酪。一人一杯。覺得味道滿特別的，外觀&內部不像我熟悉的奶酪光滑軟Q，它是叫緊密結實，內部剖面紋路像板豆腐。 個人還是比較喜歡市面上的軟Q奶酪XD
