Foam cat café — Restaurant in Taichung

Hmmm I love the concept of this store and it’s super cute but it’s lacking a few things to make it wow. Firstly they have a minimum spend which was annoying as I was one of two customers in the store so no one was missing out by me taking a table. The staff were great at talking me through the coffee and cakes but failed to mention when I was ordering my cake that it wasn’t fresh and was frozen. So when I collected it they told me I had to wait 10 minutes before eating so it could defrost, well I waited 10 mins and it was still rock hard so had to eat it frozen. Maybe have atleast one of the items defrosted during quieter times? Not everyone wants to sit for an hour and wait to eat their cake while the coffee goes cold. The coffee wasn’t anything exciting either. It wasn’t drinkable but also the whole thing wasn’t that enjoyable for the price and experience I expected more. They don’t offer the foam cat on the coffee either. Oh to top it off there were three staff working, two customers and they still asked us to bring the plates up when we finished like they were too busy to clear them. ☕️ 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐨 - NT80⁣ We got the light blend americano that had notes of dried pineapple, orange and brown sugar. Relatively light and smooth too⁣ ⁣ 🤎 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞 - NT120⁣ Got the dark blend for this that had notes of tangerine peel, mesona, and chestnut. The darker blend worked well with the milk but just wished that it wasn’t that milky. You can also add on the adorable egg cakes for NT9, which is very worth it for photos, and tasted really good too!⁣ ⁣ 🩵 𝐁𝐮𝐠𝐜𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 - NT135⁣ The amount of blue food colouring in this was a bit scary but we couldn’t resist such an adorable pudding! It was soooo jiggly and creamy. The caramel syrup was very well made too⁣ ⁣ 🍫 𝐅𝐨𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐮 - NT170⁣ This had zero alcohol in it, and was a bit light of the coffee flavour but it was still very moist and delicious⁣ ⁣ 🍮 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐥 𝐏𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 - NT110⁣ Creamy, smooth and yummy, this caramel pudding was all you’d expect in a pudding, except that it came with an adorable cat marshmallow

Super cute cafe for the foam cat comic character from bugcat capoo. It's right across the street from capoo house which means it's a great spot to sit down and get some drinks or food after looking around (i.e. buying a bunch of things) in capoo house.

There's a decent selection of food, desserts, and drinks. Unfortunately they ran out of sandwiches so I couldn't try them, but I tried the salted egg taro waffle, roasted oolong milk tea, and foam cat tiramisu. In my opinion, if you're looking for food only and don't care about anything else, it's decent but nothing particularly special in terms of taste. The main part of foam cat cafe is the decor and theme, which makes it a unique cafe that provides a cute interior and decent food / drinks.

They also provide various small foam cat / capoo themed items to purchase, like foam cat metal straws, coffee, pins, and mugs.
