MiaCucina 台中新光店 — Restaurant in Taichung

After a few years I returned to Miacucina. They have renovated the place and partly also the menu. However, change does not always lead to improvements. Brunch, which was one of their strong points, has been removed from the proposals and the service is terrible!! Sir, ask for a minimal change to the dish you ordered, they are unable to make it. You also cannot wait for a dish over half an hour while they have already served your partner's. This way they force both of them to eat alone!!! Ridiculous and unacceptable!!! Before bursting into Italian cuisine they should learn how to manage customers!! But maybe the Taiwanese are fine with that!! I spent more than 1500 for a barley salad with two eggs and a coffee!! I didn't even go to a Michelin restaurant!!!...

The price of the foods is align with quality and quantity of the products served to consumers. I tried the waffle and it was worth to try that the dessert itself can fill your stomach. The toppings and the caramel sauce are very delicious and enjoyable. The only minus thing is the long waiting for the food to be served, but after i saw the amount of the waffle it was understandable that iy would take long time to make. Overall, such a good experience, absolutely will comeback to try different flavors...

Overall the food is great as usual. But as someone who prefer eat salad without sauce, I would ask to have the sauce serve separately next time. Learned my lesson. The new daily menu (vegan lasagna with sourdough bread?) is unexpected good, except the bread has some burn and slightly oily.
