PINOCOCO X 301 Boulevard — Restaurant in Taichung

Was looking forward to eating here when I saw the menu but was told when we sat down so many things were not available, from mains, to sides and drinks. No butter for bread, just balsamic and oil.

The wife ordered a very bland carbonara, that not even black pepper could perk up. I doubt it was cooked to order, just sloppped into a dish and sent out.

I ordered seafood pizza. When it finally came it was both burned and soggy. The shrimp had been bashed up I guess to give the illusion of plenitude. Apparently it had bbq sauce but I could not see any let alone taste any.

Service is non existent, my wife had her water refilled only when we asked for the bill. The whole experience is overpriced and disappointing.

I’ve tried many of their pizzas and pastas, all delicious! I like their garlic clam chili pasta: even my grandma’s a fan.

This time around I ordered a ribeye which was very well executed. No surprises there.. nice crusty outside, tender and bloody on the inside..how was rare steak should be! Yum!!
