This is a fantastic Mediterranean restaurant and bar! Great vibes here. I made a solo trip to this place not too long ago. The waitress who greeted me suggested I sit at the bar outside and I agreed. I ordered the buffalo chicken gyro as I saw from another review that it was spicy and I liked it because it had the spicy kick that I wanted. It was accompanied with fries and plenty of them which I couldn’t even finish. After seeking the lovely waitresses advice, I ordered the original mojito drink and it was divine! So good that I would definitely recommend it! Next, I ordered the aperol spritz which was refreshing. The staff were very cool and engaging. It was a super nice experience. I will definitely be going back.

UZO is a mainstay in the Taichung food scene. It’s know for it’s dinner and drinks but has recently started doing brunch. The pictures attached to this review is from brunch. As always the service is high quality and they speak English. The food is good and the atmosphere with the outdoor seating is exactly what you want for brunch. I hope the continue to add more brunch options because it is my favorite spot right.

I ordered the pina colada. Although it tasted off, I tried to be game and power through, but then I thought if one of the ingredients was really off, I would end up getting sick. Two of the people at my table tasted it and agreed it tasted weird. I brought it up with the server, and she initially said it was because of the ingredients they used, that it would have a "different" taste. But the taste wasn't "different", it was bad. And if the taste is "different," then maybe warn the customers before they pay $350 for it. The server came back and insisted there was nothing wrong with the drink. Basically I was out $350 for a few sips of a drink that tasted like coconut lotion. Anyway, this is my third bad experience here with bad drinks or food, so I won't go here again. The margarita was terrible. The salad was tiny and expensive. The wrap was soso. What is the hype about? I don't feel like we got what we paid for. The servers were nice and attentive, so I guess one might like to go...

Casual dining atmosphere with outdoor and semi-indoor seating. Their menu is a good complement to their ambiance, also casual, not too fussy.

They aren't trying to do too much on their menu, and they execute it well. It's not fussy but it's consistently very good. My main problem is the overpriced hummus--$85 NTD for a tiny portion, likely less than 1/4 c. It's necessary, though, because I love the falafel pita, which eats dry and less interesting without the hummus.
