RESTAURANT: Wired Tokyo
Fresh dinner in Downtown Taichung. The environment is excellent in the same floor of Tsutaya Book Store
FOOD: We ordered a set. So we could choose two soups, an appetizer or salad, two main courses and 2 beverages. However, we ordered more than the set because we are foodie 😍
For soups, we had pumpkin and tomatoes with miso. As Appetizers, we had fried octopus 🐙 (extremely delicious) and cheese pie (this one we had to order as an extra, not included in the set), but it was totally worth cuz it’s hard to find those pies here in Taichung. As main courses, we ordered Fried Chicken Rice and Sea Food Pasta. Both sauce were unique and tasty. In addition, my friend said the fried chicken was incredible good (and she is an expert at Fried Chicken 🍗) We ordered dessert (also extra from the set) which was chocolate cake with fresh fruits. The chocolate cake was not too heavy (which is a plus) and matched perfectly with fruits, especially: banana, orange and grapefruit. As beverages, I had a hot select fruit tea and my friend something green (I guess matcha with a cute decoration, maybe @pqbdqpdb can say the name of the beverage in the comments). My tea was exactly what I wanted to drink and she liked her drink too.
MENU: So diverse. Many extra options of different options of pasta, rice, pizza, coffee, drinks and French toasts. They have English version and every food has their own picture in the menu.
SERVICE: All of the waiters really cute and kind, explaining the menu. I could even see their smiles behind their masks. By the way, they speak in English.
PRICE: 1800 NTD 兩位 The set for 2 people is 980 NTD. We paid more because we ordered extra beverages, extra dessert and extra appetizers. They also have a set for 1 person which is around 600 NTD which comes with soup, salad or appetizer, drink and main course.
What’s more, you can grab a book in Tsutaya and read while drinking a coffee in Wired Tokyo.

Read moreWill NEVER recommend it to anybody. Just got done there and walked out of it. Had THE worst dining experience, like, EVER! Service was bad. Food was bad. Quality and quantity were both bad. They even managed to burn my burger. When I asked for mustard, it took them 10 minutes to bring just half a coffee spoonful of it for my, by that time, cold and burnt burger. Pretty hard to believe it if you consider that 2/3 of the restaurant was empty and there was just 5 tables of people when all of this happened. The place just took a nose dive since the pandemic. So bad a dining experience that I would not even want to give it one star. IMHO, one middle finger would be more...
Read moreprobably the most popular restaurant in Taichung as of right now (5/15) since the widely anticipated Tsutaya bookstore just opened!
I came a couple times before to check out the cafe but the line was just too long..warning: you really can’t come here on the weekends it’s packed!
ordered: Mentaiko Pasta- freakin delicious Doug’s wagyu burger- juicy, but patty was slightly over cooked for my taste Iced Americano- nothing special 😂
You can bring a book from the bookstore to read if you order anything from the cafe!
While the food is slightly pricey and they only let you sit here for 90minutes, the cafe is very comfortable and a great place to chat with...
