Simple menu, but most known for their pan seared and fried rice cake. It's similar to Taiwanese radish/ turnip cakes; it's both crunchy and crispy on the outside, but soft and gooey on the inside. It's nice because it's less dense with more QQ texture to season to your own liking. Their "original" selection comes with a ground pork meat sauce and it's so tasty! I prefer it much more than their "signature" option.
For fans of spicy foods, they have homemade hot sauces that really kicks you in a face and takes it up a notch. Be wary of adding too much as the chili oil can whip up a nice cough.
This place is very underrated and a must try if you're near by. A plus is that they're not hyped on social media so there usually isn't a wait. However, that might changed soon as they recently received Michelin's attention. I won't be surprised to see them recognized by 2023 Michelin Bib Gourmand. In fact, what I've heard, this is a new savory appetizer/ food created in Tainan that not many local Taiwaneses even tried. Highly recommend -- I came here 2 days in a row...

We also tried the soft bones pork rice, it was not too bad but could be better if the braised meat was...
Read moreI already had a big lunch somewhere else but then I happened to pass this little snack bar and because had it recommended to me and because it was empty I decided to stop by and have a little snack. Yes. It is definitely worth it. Rice balls, gravy, egg. It sounds simple but it is really yummy. I would never be able to have such food in my home country. So this is one more of the many Restaurants in Tainan that are simply delicious. My stomach is too small to...
