I wanted to first mention that this is probably the quickest service Japanese restaurant I have ever been to. When the wife and I arrived, 9 people sat down all at the same time and more than half of us were done with our orders within half an hour. With minimum order of one donburi per person, that's pretty freakin' fast. These people know how to be efficient!
The entrance to KimHo is in a small alley on the left of the bar. It's a a little hard to find if you do not take too much notice to it! Make sure you book in advance! There's roughly 18-20 seats and they tend to fill up pretty quickly.
I ordered the fried chicken, salmon donburi, Orion draft beer, the Japanese omelette with mentaiko (cod roe) sauce and every order comes with their miso soup. Everything, was delicious, but what stood out was the miso soup! I almost wish I didn't order the Orion as I was pretty full before I even started my miso soup.
Portions of my donburi were just right. With 7 or 8 pieces of salmon and plenty of salmon roe, I was very satisfied with the portions and level of freshness of our sashimi.
