StableNice BLDG. — Restaurant in Tainan

All the workers and staff are very kind and nice and hard working. They can even speak and understand english pretty well. I am surprised to see the negative reviews towards the staff and people who work here. I am from America and we have so many coffee shops with very good and very bad coffee. The coffee in this place is exceptionally good! I would be happy to invite my friends here or have a business meeting here. I think that this coffee shop is more suited for introverts and people who don’t enjoy very big coffee shops with a-lot of people like Starbucks. If you enjoy a medium / smaller coffee shop that is not in the old Tainan style but more modern and retro than this is a great coffee shop to visit. My only wish is for there to be more food options. Tainan already has so many Tiramisu desserts and egg sandwiches are not very creative. I hope they will come out with more creative food options in the future. The service and experience were TERRIBLE I will NOT recommend this place to anyone. We arrived the shop around 20 pass 10 AM, there was a couple in the shop, staffs were more than customers obviously. The waiter told us we could sit anywhere we wanted, we then sat by the window. A few minites later, the other waiter came and told us we were NOT allowed to sit by the window as the seat was for 4 people. We found his attitude rude and arrogant, we mentioned since the shop is not busy right now can we sit by the window for photos, we can move anytime when there are customers who need the seats. We understand if the table was reserved, they could leave a sign on the table to avoid misunderstanding. Well NO reaponse from the waiter, which was very unprofessional. Great coffee, great interior. I spent an afternoon there working on my laptop and it was very pleasant. I kinda get why some people are leaving negative reviews, because the man answering the door did appear to be a bit apprehensive and off-putting. But once you get pass that he's actually a good guy. I think the staff is a little bit defensive because they have to deal with the neighbours complaining on a regular basis. They are just making sure you are not causing a nuisance in the back lane...
