大丸家 — Restaurant in Tainan

I find this restaurant a bit gimmicky so it was a pleasant surprise that the food turned out to be quite delicious. The donuts were actually meat and cheese breaded and deep fried. Drinks were mediocre.

Service was the most disappointing, staff weren’t friendly or helpful at all. We first arrived around noon time and were informed that they were too understaffed to serve even though there were empty tables. Customers would have to wait until 4 p.m or so. The curry is light with a bit of sour notes which complement the slightly sweet chicken cheese donut. The chicken cheese donut is crispy but a bit tough. The vegetables are a bit undercooked.
