饗食天堂台南西門店 — Restaurant in Tainan

The place was decent and the ambiance was fine, but the reason I am giving this place two stars is because their made to order crème brûlée had a piece of plastic in it! When I was eating the dessert I realized that there was a tough and chewy item and as I pulled it out I discovered that this unknown item was plastic. As someone that was trying to enjoy their meal I was very disappointed to find plastic in the dessert! They did give us a coupon for the restaurants, but as a parent I am very concerned because if a child did not know what it was and they ate the plastic it would affect them badly. All I can say is that I expected better. And that they should watch out more and be more careful while...

We went there for afternoon tea, and the service was excellent. I wanted to take photos of the food counters, but some dishes were gone within minutes. Thankfully, they were refilled quickly. The seafood (only had prawns) was fresh; sashimi ( only had salmon and tuna) was not bad ( at least I would like to have a second round); the desserts offered a wide variety and tasted great. There are also lots of deep fried options.

What I didn’t enjoy was that many of the hot dishes were only lukewarm. The meat was often overcooked, making it less tender than I’d expect. Maybe it's just the way meat is cooked in Taiwan. Only a few stir-fry vegetables were provided but they provide decent...

I agree with Molly, price too high, by Tainan standard. Cheapest is afternoon tea, now $698 + service, plus no discount for birthday boy/girl. High quality & tasty but only considered great value for tourist like me who put up with far higher cost of living overseas. The most I've paid, where i live, was about Nt$2,500 and it's only about 1/3 of what's on offered here. Great service though and high quality fitting offers great...
