THE SHOTTING FUN — Restaurant in Tainan

Having lived in Tainan for roughly a year, I was pleased to discover a whiskey bar serving high-quality liquor at very affordable prices.

This became a favorite place to drop in on weekends and for about two months I had only good experiences.

Then one evening a friend and I had a few drinks here, and upon cashing out the tab seemed high. Essentially the bar had tacked 4 additional drinks onto our bill.

When we addressed the discrepancy the manager was called, who insisted we would have to pay for the extra drinks, or she would call the police. We requested to see the in house video footage to confirm the number of drinks consumed, at which point the manager made a phone call. A little while later (it was now after 3 a.m.) a man arrived and went upstairs, presumably to pull the surveillance footage. After waiting a while longer, we asked when we would be able to see the video. The manager stated it may take “a few hours.”

Realizing that a few hours would be enough time to manipulate the video in anyway they pleased, we stated that if they would not show us the video at that time we would pay for the drinks we actually consumed and leave. The manager again continued to call the police. Calling her bluff, we told her to do so so that we could all view the video together. At this point the manager told us to just pay for the drinks that we said we had had and “next time” we can watch the video.

難得帶太太來蜜月最後一站，想找個地方抒心小酌，當天剛從阿里山下來，就近找了住宿地點附近評分高的酒吧，前面去了燒烤店，喝了啤酒感覺換個環境喝調酒，因緣際會來到這家。 酒不錯，價格合宜，接待人員親切，但有種莫名的不適，可能我們打扮不入時，不是常客，看起來口袋也不深。 進門詢問兩人室內是否可以，當時吧台還有8個空位，旁邊有一桌6人空桌，卻說可以坐戶外嗎？等等有訂位。我接受了，反正我抽煙但我老婆不喜歡也接受。 酒可以，介紹跟服務也認真親切，但我坐了2個小時沒人進去吧台阿。 我已經坐外面，消費也1人500元，合計1000元，點酒時我也沒含扣，然後又來問等等有很多人來，可以請你換位子嗎？…….我也接受了。 我們出來玩一整天，手機沒電，怕等等喝了無法導航拍照，想暫充手機，兩個人說可以，另一位看起來有話語權的美女說不行。 好吧，我們滾回飯店。 原本非常愉快的行程跟氛圍，完全…..毀了。 我覺得台南有很多非常棒的店家也很多元，我因為疫情不能出國這兩週帶著太太玩遍台灣各地，見識到人情冷暖。 如有不服，隨你便，但我打分已經給高...
