My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Taipei is this place here, ran by a lady that takes her time making food, but sure worth it. The restaurant is small, and sometimes she has help which speeds up the service. What makes this Viet restaurant stand out is how herbs are provided with the dishes. The mint leaves, basil, & cilantro makes a big difference in the taste. Rip up the herbs into pieces and soak them in your pho, which brings out the flavor of the broth. Many other Vietnamese restaurants in Taipei will skimp on the herbs, but it’s necessary if you want a more authentic flavor. I always order the chicken pho and the egg rolls (fried). When there’s enough people in my party, we add extra appetizers to the orders. The papaya salad, banana flower salad, & fried tofu are delicious. The spring rolls (fresh) is full of ingredients but I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of the pork loaf that’s used in this dish. I prefer real pork meat. Overall, this restaurant is clean, the food is mouth-watering, and definitely worth the visit.

It's clean and spacious, and service is friendly. The menu is extensive and contains descriptions of each dish in Chinese, Vietnamese, and English. Every dish I've tried seems pretty authentic (similar to what I usually eat in Hanoi). I'm already planning my orders for the next few visits. The food...
Read moreHidden gem at the basement! Our vietnamese friend brought us here and food was really good! The staff were also very nice and accommodating. The place and decors have a lot of Vietnamese elements that helped our friend tell us more about their culture as well. Coffee was super good and food seemed quite authentic. My friend said she came here 5x in the last month whenever she's stressed and missed food from her...
