at ease — Restaurant in Taipei

Standing seating for smaller groups. 2 persons you must stand and eat at the bar. all dishes tasted good and ambiance casual and trendy. The downside is pricing in my opinion is too high for what you get. The spring rolls for example were 280nt for 3 small pieces (the ingredients weren’t all that spectacular). The matcha vanilla ice cream split was 360nt, was prepared without any particular finesse or creative flare, ingredients also fairly average, service wasn’t special either. All in all, nothing was bad, just felt the cp value particularly low especially considering we are standing. These fees the price is verging on fine dining for a pseudo trendy fast food experience. I don’t recommend this restaurant for two persons, I found it awkward to stand and it semi fancy food facing the bar while having a conversation. I think this could work for larger groups sharing a bunch of dishes for a chill atmosphere. I enjoyed the duck and lamb tacos.

Food tastes good but super expensive. You might as well be eating fine dining at this point. Pretty much defeats the style and purpose of a sports bar. We spent around 1800 for 5 tiny dishes and 2 draftland drinks. We left hungry and wished we went to eat tacos instead across the street.

The staff was rushing us by picking up plates when clearly we weren't finished as if they want us quickly out the door.

I would only come back for the draftland drinks if I were to get a cheap cocktails, but plenty of other places in the area that have good, reasonably...

At East o The five we ordered were all delicious, except the beef tartare wasn’t that impressive. My favorite was the fries with salty egg sauce! Cocktails from Draft land becomes an icon in Taipei city, I guess no one hates it. It is a smart idea to collaborate with.

However, while I was having carbonara, I found a piece of plastic wrap from my mouth… I don’t think it’s a common mistake for restaurants with sales, this was the only disappointment I have for At Ease. So the last star lost because of this accident. Overall it’s an amazing...
