Bonchon Chicken — Restaurant in Taipei

I was craving Korean fried chicken, and hadn't had one in awhile. Bonchon Chicken is one of my favorite chains in Asia, so I decided to visit this location in Taipei.

Food: I ordered the classic soy garlic chicken, fries, and a soda. Pretty filling for less than NTD$500. The chicken meat and breading was really delicious and crispy, and the fries were a nice compliment. Just as good as the ones in other locations in Asia, and better tasting than the ones in the US.

Service: The staff was incredibly welcoming. Even though I have been to Bonchon multiple times in other countries, the server was very helpful in making sure that I ordered correctly. The manager who helped me when I paid my meal was also incredibly friendly in making my visit enjoyable.

Atmosphere: I dined solo this time, since I was on my way home from work, but the environment was very clean, spacious, and energetic. This is a great place to go with a group to socialize over Korean fried chicken.

Verdict: Definite recommend for Korean friend chicken. I've had Bonchon in both Asia and North America, and this location is as good as my favorite...

Visited this spot for a late dinner, as most nearby eateries closed between 8:30-9:30 PM. The restaurant closes at 10 PM, which worked out perfectly. I ordered a mixed combo (1 drumstick + 4 wings) and the beef cheese fries. The flavors were really good, with the chicken crispy and well-seasoned. A nice touch was the radish provided to complement the spicy chicken—it helped balance the heat.

The servers were friendly and attentive, which made the experience more enjoyable. One small improvement would be to offer Wi-Fi, as customers are asked to self-order via QR code, which can be a bit tricky without internet. The atmosphere was a nice mix of fast food and Western-style dining, and I appreciated that water was complimentary.

typical chain business. There is a limit that you must spend if your a certain height. I dont know what prompted this rule, its not like they offer free banchan and nothing is all you can eat. So idk. Not a good look. I feel like the rule shld be enforced at peak hours or when the restaurant is busy. I was in there with 3 other people. Place could probably seat 100+ customers. So definitely not appropriate. There is also a service fee for dining in. With all that said, who cares. Its not gonna bankrupt you. The food is great and came out quickly.
