I had really high hopes for this, but it was pretty disappointing all around. We had two chicken sandwich meals, one with the seasoned fries and the other with Mac n’ cheese. None of the three items were very good, with the Mac and Sandwich being far below average.
Chicken sandwich was a good portion, and looked legit, but the best part of it was the bun. The patty was good flavored, but the breading to meat ratio was just so skewed that I struggled to discern the chicken in many of my bites. The mix between over-breading the use of a smaller chicken thigh meant that every bite was an oily salty crunch. Unfortunately the pickles were not pickled enough, like lightly flavored cucumber, so they lost any mitigating effect. It’s a good thing that the sandwich was skimpy on the mayo, since I’d probably not been able to stomach it. The ten year old (who literally will eat anything fried) was willing to throw away half of his burger. All in all I would rate the sandwich a 1*, and I would hesitate to even give it another chance.
The Fries were also well seasoned and flavorful, but they were borderline stale (which was also disappointing given the fact that the place was packed, and they should have been at least semi-fresh). Would have been 5* if they had been fresh, but no more than 3* in this state.
The Mac and cheese was really what had me torn. On one hand I liked the flavor, but the macaroni was low quality and overcooked. Way too mushy and broken. I kinda echo the complaint that there is too little sauce, since it was too dry as well. I ended up throwing half of this away because of the texture. I know it’s relatively cheap but the lack of quality shows. You’re getting what you pay for.
I will go back and try the chicken strips and biscuits, but so far it looks like this place will be closing soon. Just doesn’t offer the quality and value expected from the...

After finding out about Popeyes due to the hype from the internet, I decided to try it. It's one of those tried it, it's ok.
The Chicken Sandwich was good. It had a unique crunchy crust, and the meat was tender. The spicy sauce gave it a nice tang akin to Peri Peri...not sure what American Cajun tastes like but I was hoping it would be more unique, specialized, authentic. The zucchini slices is a nice touch.
Chicken pieces was ok, average. Similar to what you get from the big chains. I was a bit disappointed. If they had ranch or Cajun style dipping sauce that would make it different. Their Mac 'n Cheese had generous servicing of cheese the rue was nice and thick. Good comfort food. Overall ok. The biscuits were sold out before 12, I was kind of sad to not try it. I was bit taken back by the price, for fast food it was more expensive than the other chains.🥲 More cold, rainy UberEats delivery for cash.
The decor was nice. They really wanted to bring Louisiana feel to it. It looked great.
The service was so-so. They just directed you to the App. The App was clunky hard to order and implied you needed membership to order online (which you don't).
Tip: When ordering with the link, there is no need to sign for membership. It works fine without signing in. Just make sure the order is correctly processed still need to go to the machine.😒 If you are ordering, their best foods is the Chicken Sandwish and Biscuits.
Though I wouldn't go out my way to...
Read moreThe ordering system is really not good for English, if you don't know Chinese. They don't let you pick your pieces with set meals like the show the pieces in the pictures and how you can choose your pieces in the states. I like dark meat,so I wouldn't want to pay for white meat and be forced to eat it when I don't want it. But I was given dark meat. The mac and cheese was not good and they sold out of biscuits. An hour drive for me and no biscuits. I wish they offered the other sides like dirty rice and red beans and rice. They don't even want to try it on the Taiwanese market to see how these sides would do. The chicken itself was moist and delicious and fresh, compared to Taiwanese fried chicken which is flavorless and dry. Would I go back? I would go back for the hot guy staff members. They were so cute and all spoke English with sexy accents. They were also extremely hospitable. Other than that, maybe if I'm in the area 6 months from now. I wouldn't go out of my way to drive there. And FIX THE BATHROOM!! I ate at 2 Popeye's in Seoul and they were much better than this one. So I hope they get the...
