I wanna give 4 stars but I decided against it and because the waffles were too good. Cute place in a small neighborhood. Coffee was good but my first impression was not. I came in at around 8:50-ish, ready to have a good day and was greeted by a particularly prickly woman who was at the counter. I'm not sure if she's just not a morning person or just hates early customers. Either way, I did not feel welcome, which was a total contrast to the whole place's vibe. I also noticed a hint of annoyance from her over the fact that I did not speak Mandarin. If you're uncomfortable speaking English, I can just use Google to translate the menu and point at my order. She called a man though who saved my morning and took my order. He's warm and kind and soft-spoken. I stayed because he was the redeeming factor of that particular visit and because the waffles were so good! To sum it up: good place, decent coffee and food.
