I had a late dinner here after finish ramen beside this stall, ordering three dishes: BBQ meat, pancake, and cold noodles.
• Cold Noodles: Loved the chewy texture, perfect for a refreshing summer dish. However, the broth was overly sweet for my taste and lacked spiciness. The dish came with just a boiled egg on top, and I wished for more meat or protein given the price. • BBQ Meat: This was my favorite. The portion was generous, and while the BBQ sauce leaned a bit sweet, the sesame oil added a nice flavor. One small gripe was the scallions—they were cut too long and a bit unwieldy. • Pancake: This didn’t suit my palate. It was mushy and soggy, almost feeling raw and starchy.
Overall, the cold noodles stood out for texture but could improve on flavor balance and protein content. The BBQ was solid, and the...
Read moreWas craving Korean and saw the good reviews of this restaurant so thought would check out. Was disappointed. Firstly, no free sides which is untraditional of a Korean restaurant (extra kimchi is 50NTD per serving, was spicy and not fermented/sour at all - I've made better at home). Do not recommend the fish soup - was 90% fishcake with minimal veggies and broth tasted incredibly salty and peppery (likely packaged, storebought broth). Beef pancake was actually an egg and beef omelette so was not cripsy and flakey like a typical Korean pancake, but the beef was yummy. Total price for 3 dishes was 1450NTD - though serving sizes are good and we left full, I wouldn't return given the quality and price...

The vibe and food is completely authentic, but it does not cater to Taiwanese taste and would probably fit in better with Porchas in Seoul than in Taipei. I think this might be reason for some of the negative reviews. However, if you are longing for real Korean food, I cannot recommend this place enough, but like all foreign food, you have to pay a bit more for the authenticity and the side dishes. Definitely worth trying. The kimchi udon is...
