Real Szechuan 1 & Real Szechuan 2 across the street it's Sun night & both are running at capacity with the Panda waiting out front & mom & stroller waiting for a table chatting it up

this is a Family Dinner joint -- old school Share Plates 3 generations siblings with their significants & mom / grandmom holding court

ordering & cooing over grandchild

toddler & baby make acquaintance

aunties shouting additions to orders from tables

side dishes start appearing on tables

beer & pop in the fridge (self-serve) / order

what's difficult to sense from pics is the overall joy & familiar & family in the air

i got the beef (medium heat) with tofu strips & silky cubed egg tofu dish -- that absolutely surprised me

many many got the stir-fry Chinese broccoli & the pineapple shrimp & the stuff served on hot plate looked good too

feel the customers have been coming here through every round of DNA continuity

saw the uncle in the back -- 1 chef + crew about the same age as owner -- about same age as half of aunties

every dish going through expert hands still crankin out orders like it's 1979 & when he was a young fella & the 80s were coming & it was a boom economy in Taiwan

at his age he still moves with purpose & speed & precision of his 20s -- judging by the speed with which dishes appear at the window -- the pass

i felt the warmth of the memories held here

it's real Szechuan & real Fam & real...

Our group of 10 was looking for a place to dine so I searched Google Maps once again and found this place. It was a short walk from where we were so we decided to have our lunch here. There was a cue when we arrived but it didn't take long for our group of 10 to be allowed to go in.

We went down a flight of stairs to the basement as surprisingly there is another level in this restaurant. We ordered mapo tofu, kung pao chicken, fried diced chicken with cashew nuts, stir fried shredded pork with sweet bean sauce, and stir fried Chinese broccoli.

The dishes were cooked after you ordered them so it takes a while for the food to be served. I liked all their dishes. I thought it was going to be overly spicy but it was not. It was just right. I recommend the mapo tofu the most. I would love to try their other dishes next time as they have an extensive array in their menu.

​1호점과 2호점이 바로 앞에 있고 웨이팅은 꼭 안에 말씀하시고 하셔야 합니다 :)

​1 호점 2호점 모두 엄청 넓은 편이라 단체도 모두 수용 가능하더라구용~

​단체로 가시게 되면 돌아가는 원형 테이블에 착석! 2-4인 정도는일반 테이블이더라구용ㅎㅎ

​taiwan beer (only 18days)를 판매하고 있는데 아주 깔끔하고 맛있더라고요!! 대만 여행하신다면 요거 추천드립니다

​음료는 테이블에 오면 안 먹었어도 반납은 불가하니 먹을 만큼 주문하세용 ~

​오이무침(cucumber) 아주 짭조름한데 맛있더라고요 맥주 안주용으로 딱이고 손이 가는 맛으로 맥주 주문하신다면 간단하게 핑거푸드로 추천드려용 🥒🥒🥒

​계란 두부튀김 겉은 살짝 바삭하고 안은 아주 부드러워서 식감이 아주 좋고 아이들, 어른들 모두 좋아할 거 같고 맛은 순두부 + 계란 요런 스타일이라 맛있습니다 :) 두부 좋아하신다면 추천드려용~

​공심채 볶음 모닝글로리 재질 좋아하신다면 정말 추천드립니다!! 채소의 익힘이 아주 이븐 하게 잘 익어서 맛있더라고요 ㅎㅎ

​파 소고기 볶음 파가 정말 맛있습니다... 여기 채소 맛집인 거 같고 소고기야 뭐 맛있죠..!! 파향 좋아하신다면 추천드립니다 😉

​간장 돼지갈비찜 요거도 맛있고 살코기도 엄청 부드러워서 살살 녹는데 양이 많이 없어서 아쉽더라고요 가성비가 아쉽습니다 😂

​굴튀김 진짜 바삭하고 살짝 짭조름한 편이라 맥주 안주용으로 좋고 옆에 고수? 같은 이파리도 같이 튀겨주시는데 아주 조화롭습니다 고수 이파리가 같이 나오기에 고수 향신료 좋아하신다면 추천드립니다

​새우 계란 볶음 요거는 맛은 내가 아는 맛. 무난한 맛이고 아이들 밥과 먹기에 딱 좋고요 삼삼하니 요것도 괜찮습니다 :)

부추 꽃 볶음 아주아주 짭조름 한 편이라 밥이랑 같이 먹기 좋은 거 같고 맥주 안주용으로도 괜찮은데 밥이 없다면 단독으로 먹기엔 많이 짭조름하니 참고하시고 요것도 밥이랑 같이 먹으면 괜찮더라구용~ 식감이 좋아요 ㅎㅎ

​전반적으로 음식들이 너무 맛있고 간이 딱 한국인들이 좋아하는 간이라 맛있습니다
