All you can eat place, really good cuts of meat here and quickly delivered to the table when you order (they use a QR code system, pretty handy because you can translate and it has pictures), and very helpful and attentive staff (I’m allergic to seafood and they let know me even when there was kelp algae. Also non-alcoholic drinks included as well as desert!
Just to clarify, they do offer free scallops in exchange for a 5 star review, so consider this when reading these… but alas… I’m allergic to scallops (and my partner doesn’t eat anything fish or related) so I provided this review honestly.
That said, now that we have finished eating, I have to add, you have a 2h limit to eat (plenty) so don’t do like us… pace yourselves… leave space for the desert, the ice-cream and the refillable drinks.
If you can eat seafood, I reckon that must be good too by the amount consumed by the people in the table beside us.
I believe you can order set hotpot diners or something like this as well, and for birthdays and by reservation, they make collagen/jelly dragon balls. Pretty cool.
Price is a bit high (800 pp plus 10% service fee) but food quality is good, so if you eat a normal or big volume of food…...
Read moreA rating of 4.9/5 doesn't just sound too good to be true, it is! Travelling the last half year hitting 20+ hot pot places, this is with a distance the worst we have had.
We got the spicy and the plain broths. The spicy one tasted old and like intestines, and it had way too much star anis. The plain broth also tasted a bit off. We ordered six types of meats including three types of waygu, and out of the six only one tasted ok, the rest were dry and tasted off - unfortunately it was unclear to us which one was the ok one, so we didn't bother to order more. Even the ice-cream wasn't as advertised - it hardly had any filling and might as well have been that cheap rainbow ice-cream you get a children's birthday parties.
I really think the score has been manipulated! Looking through the reviews there are extremely many reviews from accounts with just a few reviews, and they either write nothing or stuff like "tasty" and "like like".
For 758 $NT per person you should avoid this place. For the same price you can eat so much decious food in the neighbourhood including yakiniku at Momoya BBQ and Power of Meat, or you can grab some delicious curry at Mongacurry for a third...
Read moreI celebrated my birthday here last month. We call this type of restaurant as Shabu-shabu in the Philippines. I was not a fan of soup based dishes to be honest so I am really very picky about hot pot restaurants to dine in to. A recommendation came on my social media feed about this restaurant while I was browsing high-rated places to try out. This place did not disappoint me. We had all their 6 soup bases. From the tame fish based to the fiery and spicy ones. We resorted to just consume the 3 we liked best. The restaurant has variety of fresh vegetables, meats, and fish to include in your soup. They also have noodles and steam white rice to pair your soup with. They’re all unlimited. They also have ice cream for desert. For drinks - soda, water and beer are also available all you want. The only caveat - you need to consume all your food up to 1.5 hrs. It’s also not as expensive as I thought. Overall, it’s a pretty good place to eat for our group of 6 individuals. The question if I would come back here next time I visit Ximending area in Taipei -...
