Mong Kok Stone Hot Pot — Restaurant in Wanhua District

This stone stir fry hot pot is one of the best I have ever had. They do it traditionally, but the sauce they have for you is amazing. I'm fascinated by the sauce I traveled halfway around the world to eat here.The way they have the sati sauce with a hit of sesame seasoning it really brings out the flavor of the hot pot. I would have given it a 5 star but unfortunately it's still a 4 star for me due to the fact it's missing a very important touch. I believe its the lack of professionalism. Hotpot i had: Lamb Hotpot

Interesting concept which the waiter pre cooks the meat, and stir fries the shallots and garlic for the soup base for you.

The meat is fresh and lightly marinated. The rest of the ingredients are pretty standard: cabbage, dong ho vegetable, 1 brown mushroom, enoki mushrooms, fish cakes, (half a) meat ball, 1 (rather small) piece of tofu, and other stuff. The interesting ingredients are the omelette skin dumpling, and intestine dumpling, but they only give 1 each.

Your main carbohydrate would either be glass noodles or rice.

The taste is nothing special. But the waiter manages your pot for you, And the service is quite good. But worth the long queue...

When we saw good review(overrated) of this place and people are queueing up for it, we are so excited. We thought we found a good place to dine in. Who knows, it is kinda disappointing, do not understand why people are queueing up for this and give a pretty good review. I believe there are better steamboat elsewhere (we had steamboat at least once a month, so we know what we are talking about). We ordered what the waiter recommended, so it is definitely not we ordered the wrong dish.
