So delighted to have finally gotten the opportunity to come here with friends and try a wide variety ♡ between the three of us we ordered: chilli cheese fries ($200nt and the most amazing, crispy, saucy and satisfying fries), Mexican chili with brown rice ($350, the most comforting cold weather stew with strong spiced cumin flavors and loaded with chunky beans and vegan meat crumbles), burger with aoili sauce and guacamole (super yunmy bun with a good chew, dense patty, crispy fries and good dipping sauce but the avocado was pretty light), Indian chunky vegetable and tofu curry (also just delicious cold weather comfort food and with lots of variety from carrots to beans to stinky tofu to mushroom), earl grey latte (creamy and not too sweet), Thai style milk tea (beautiful presentation and the most delicious tea I've had in a while- creamy, flavorful and perfectly sweet), and finished it all with a warm toffee cinnamon roll topped with ice cream and granola crumbles (exactly as delicious as it sounds)!
Other bonuses - the whole space, from the chairs to cutlery, is super stylish and staff service is very good. Also they have a mini vegan shopping area in the back (you can go look and purchase even if you're not dining in~) that rotates with plenty of plant milk options (coconut, oat, almond, etc), vegan sauces, hand soaps and beauty/hygenie products, snacks and crackers, and a big freezer with vegan meats (omnipork, beyond neat burger patties and beef crumbles, vegan chicken nuggets, vegan fried fish filets), and sometimes nice cream pints with flavors like oolong tea and pistachio Come and make a reservation and bring all your friends and family so you can try...
Read moreMaking its debut less than a year, this spot has gained serious traction to the Taipei vegan scene. The restaurant layout is modern, industrial, and sophisticated, with a large open kitchen area in the back.
Serves pizza, burgers, salads, bowls, brunch foods, omipork (plant based pork) and beyond meat (plant based beef patty).
Chili Con Carne Bowl - consists of OmniPork, corn, jalapeno, bell pepper, chickpea, red kidney bean and served with a choice of either organic brown rice or wholegrain vegan bread, it also comes with a small side of delicious hummus. The bowl had a complex taste with a mellow spicy kick.
Mint nut salad - mint nut sauce, cucumber, apple, mango, pineapple, dried fruits, tomato. I absolutely loved how refreshing this salad was and whilst it’s a big mix of fruits and ingredients, not one dominant flavor protrudes out of the whole tasteful sensation. Well balanced and appetizing.
Beyond burger - uses beyond meat, mushroom, a flavorful and creamy truffle mayo, and the fries that come with the burger are crispy.
Service was impeccable and there’s a small art gallery downstairs while we waited...
Read moreBaganHood is a vegetarian restaurant that serves good but not spectacular food. It's not very conveniently located and you need a reservation. However, the reservation process is super easy and they'll send you a text message to reconfirm before the day of your reservation. I enjoyed my pizza and they were able to accommodate my request to add garlic and onions. One of my friends had the Beyond Burger with avocado and she enjoyed it as well. My other friend was disappointed with her rice bowl. It definitely would be better served with long grain instead of short grain sticky rice. It also wasn't as flavorful as she would have liked. I'd recommend getting it with focaccia bread instead. It comes with a side of hummus. She also got the chili cheese fries which were good. If you're into kombucha, they have a huge selection. My friend said it was very mild compared to the ones she had in the US. My favorite thing was the pineapple and mint smoothie. It was very refreshing and a great combination of flavors. So a mixed review, if you're going to be in that area, make a reservation and try...
