Din Tai Fung A13 Branch — Restaurant in Xinyi District

came on a tuesday (29/4) about 6pm for 2 pax, only waited 5 min for seats to be ready. food served to us rly quick too hardly any waiting time. also, additional BONUS was that friendly service staff Bobo was exceptional. she noticed my friend’s hand had abit of sauce and without asking gave her a tissue w some alchohol to wipe which was soo sweet of her !! my friend didn’t say anyth and i didn’t notice it too haha. also, noticed her helping to keep a child seated on another table while her parents were struggling by rewarding her with a sticker without asking too. (being extra friendly and patient with the child) with a short 30 min i spent there i cld tell she rly goes above and beyond for diners with her excellent service and i left the restaurant feeling so happy and...

We arrived at 12pm and had to wait around 10 minutes for a table. You order the food on the ipad at the table. We were only 2 people so we couldn't try too many things. Our favourite dish was surprisingly the pork with green beans. It was flavourful and the green beans were crisp.

The xiao long bao were juicy and the skin was really thin which I appreciated. But the meat wasn't as good as expected.

The shrimp fried rice was okay. Nothing to write home about.

Overall - it was okay. Maybe my expectations going in were too high but I've had better xiao long bao's at other places. I will say, the service and the atmosphere were great. Super fast and attentive. My cup was never empty. Maybe I will need to come back and...

The best and the best

Having tried din tai fung in other asian cities so many times (one of our favorites brand restaurants) still nothing to compare with the ones in Taiwan.

Maybe the chicken and pork are different here.. they just so tasty.

And for sure the dumplings much better.. they still have the warm soup inside them when they serve at the table. Make the taste much much different.

Will always come back.

This branch also very crowded at weekend since it is around the malls. But queueing system is good and fast. 6 of us. Waiting for about 40 minutes at 6.30pm....
