so delicious! 👍there are a variety of flavors for wings and many good side dishes, risottos and pastas I really like. I list some of each below!
For wings: I highly recommend the Gumgum’s Wing Combo so you can try three flavors. It comes with 6 wings of each flavor you choose. I recommend the Salted Egg (No.12) and the Hot Maple Syrup (No.6). the salted egg flavor unexpectedly goes so well with the wings. I love that unique flavor combination. the hot maple syrup is mildly spicy and the taste is not too heavy either, which is really good.
For the side dishes: I highly recommend ordering the Truffle Fries. The fries are perfectly crispy and pairs really well with the thick truffle sauce. I will definitely return to try out the other fried foods. The Gumgum combo is really good for larger groups (4+ people); it comes with a HUGE platter of fried foods that you can choose.
For main meals: I recommend ordering the risottos. There are different types, the scallop one I tried was pretty good. I recommend ordering pasta with fish such as the Seared Sous Vide Salmon Pasta and Spicy Thai Seafood Pasta. I didn’t really like the pasta with meat. The new Mediterranean Slow-cooked Rosemary Beef Rib Spaghetti was not bad, but I did find the beef slightly tough and not tender enough. I liked the sauce and spaghetti though.
For drinks: There are a variety of beers to try. I highly recommend asking to waiters for suggestions because they can give a more in depth review of each flavor. The Gumgum Beer Tasting Combo is popular amongst customers. The Lychee and Black Currant Sparkling Drink is a nice non-alcoholic fruity drink.
For desserts: Overall, the desserts are just alright and I didn’t find it particularly appealing. The Maple Syrup Cream Cheese Crepes with Chocolate is not bad. The not too sweet cream cheese interior with the crispy and sweet chocolate pieces and cream to dip the crepes in is pretty good. The crepes are deep fried and crispy, unlike the softer crepes you would expect. I feel like if the interior was ice cream, it would taste really good. the Tiramisu is really sweet and not like the softer and creamy types of tiramisu. I didn’t like...
Read moreThis restaurant has been on my radar for awhile. I used to walked by the Neihu location all the time and thought the "GumGum Not Just Beer & Wings" name on Google maps was hilarious.
But since I am not a big fan of wings, I kept trying to put off coming to this Just Wings place. Unfortunately, it was the only place close to my friend's office. There's not too many comfortable sit-down restaurants near 101 that are not in malls. The wings were very good. If you didn't like yours, you probably ordered the wrong flavor for your own liking. I usually don't like the saucy ones.
The salad, the pasta, the chicken wings, and dessert were all so fresh. I usually don't find food this fresh in Taiwan. But what is even more rare is that they have a baked Alaska for dessert. It's not the traditional beehive shape but it is still so glorious. The tangy flavors of ice cream and cake all wrapped in meringue and then baked!
The restaurant layout is so artsy. There is a bar, outdoor tables, a communal table, some alcove, booths, with the bathrooms in the middle of dining area. The two unisex bathrooms have floss, pads, wet napkins, and mouthwash, very well stocked. I think there may even have been 2 kinds of pads.
Our server was really nice even when I grilled him on why we were given bar seating when I selected the table option when going through booking. But when we were seated at the bar, we saw the bartender seemed very skilled and if I did drink, I would definitely try one of their aesthetic drinks. Looks very sweet, some of them, but in a good way.
The other employees were kind too and when we asked about one of the risottos, she said that it tastes like what you would imagine and all the bites taste the same, which I would interpret as it may get old after awhile. I really appreciate descriptive feedback and honesty because I had a hard time choosing between two dishes. I ordered 2 pastas for myself but I was honestly...

Gumgum beer and wings is a hot TOTT ( talk of the town). Calling the restaurant for an impromptu same day reservation often results in call again tomorrow.
We took our chances and arrived early at its opening hours and was already filled with people. Tables that are empty can be seen with reserved signs.
GUMGUM literally means gum stickiness so as to encourage glueing to your friends for hangouts. The venue is very spacious, modern decor with something interesting in every corner.
Chicken wings - per one of the owners’ recommendation, we ordered lemon pepper and maple hot flavors. Whilst there have tons of flavor choices, they have used the same buffalo sauce base for most. This is very perplexing to me as I believe if they could change this cooking approach. A more thorough marination and add tad more dry crispness then I think they would have a winning recipe.
Service from every staff was great, good product knowledge from anyone on the floor. Excellent social vibe across the floor.
