While some may disagree, it was my worst experience of Turkish cuisine so far. Not only I can't really call it a Turkish cuisine just because one of the the owners is of Turkish ethnicity but most of the dishes in the menu are apparently belong to cuisines of east Asia. Don't get me wrong, the food tastes ok and a I'm fan of Turkish food. All the way from kebabs to baklava and haidari, I love it all. But here only real Turkish dishes are the Adana kebab and kunefe, the rest are ordinary Taiwanese or international dishes that you can purchase significantly cheaper in many other places (e g. BBQ chicken cubes, pan-fried shrimps or calamari) Besides it, the prices are extremely high. Usual, grilled mackerel cost around 750$. Slim tenderloin steak Small bowl of soup ( the one you get for free in most of places in Taiwan) worth 100$ and you can't not order it. Apparently, you need to order one soup, one main dish, and one desert. We came only for a desert but because it was too late to anywhere else we had to order other food that we never wanted. Overall, it's just another place where an owner wants to make money on some naive customers who don't really know what Turkish cuisine is really like. On the bright side, taste of those dishes we have ordered were good. Not great but not bad either. If the prices would be 3 times cheaper, I could consider a good option for a pseudo Turkish restaurant. For these reason, just because the taste is ok I give two stars...
Read moreI was genuinely looking forward to trying this restaurant, as Turkish cuisine is quite rare in Taiwan. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in nearly every aspect.
The food was underwhelming, bland and lacking the rich, bold flavors typically associated with Turkish cooking. What stood out most was an appetizer priced at NT$300, offering just three tiny pieces of artichoke. It felt overpriced and not thoughtfully prepared, leaving me questioning the overall value.
Service was equally poor. It was difficult to get the attention of the staff, even for basic requests like ordering or water refills. When dishes arrived, they were simply dropped on the table without any explanation or engagement. This lack of care and communication made the experience feel cold and disorganized.
I don’t usually leave one star reviews, but this experience gave me little reason not to. Between the average food, poor service, and steep prices, I left feeling disappointed and frustrated. Sadly, I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to others looking for a quality Turkish...
Read moreFriendly host! We were warm welcomed and guided well through the menu from the restaurant owner wife. Bright and clean environment and you can see they’ve been taken this lovely place in good hands with heart. At the entrance, when customer open the door and it was kind of right against the chair of two person table… felt a bit weird for a pricy restaurant to design like this. This small issue doesn’t affect our appetite at all.
Turkish meze was pretty impressive and superb delicious. They offer variety of vegan options (with union and garlic). If they serve pide instead of French baguette will enhance the overall experience. Overall, their meze is definitely a must try for tasting Turkish classics. Highly recommendable.
On their menu only available with the spinach egg as vegetarian option today so I ordered it. When arrived, it’s merely a poached egg atop lightly seasoned spinach… The absence of the key elements left it feels a bit incomplete to the traditional...
