Mother Flippin' Burgers/MASA/Uncle Philly Steaks — Restaurant in Xinyi District

Came here on a late night rainy Sunday and while there is no indoor seating or bathroom, we sat outside in the covered shelter of ordering booth on their single side bench and munched on massive, authentic Philly cheese steaks 🥰 I got "The Hillary" - 250nt for shaved steak, onions, pickled jalapeño, pickles, Buffalo sauce, chili cheese and cheese whiz. Boyfriend got the classic "Fresh Prince" cheese steak for 220nt.

This sandwich has heft and the size of a very plump Chipotle burrito. It is greasy, cheesy, oozy, saucy, ultra decadent, mouth watering, maybe I'll regret this in the bathroom in a few hours amazing. But not, because it's sooooooooooooo good! The JALAPEÑOS! The oozy CHEESE! One of my most surprising food experiences in Taipei. My expectations for this thing couldn't have been lower as Taiwan isn't exactly known for its fidelity to the originals when it comes to western food.

These guys absolutely crushed it. I went with the classic and this is a legit philly cheesesteak. I was a little shocked when the Uber Eats guy handed me the bag. This thing is heavy. Absolutely packed with thinly sliced beef, whiz, onions, and added jalapenos. Roll is perfect - no crusty baguette nonsense, perfectly soft to soak up the juice.

My only complaint is that the beef could have been seasoned a little more, but totally understand that the local palette can't handle salt like we like...

I don’t know if it’s just the fact that I haven’t had good roast beef in a long time but this place is amazing!

Got the 8 oz roast beef sandwich ($390 NT) with drink and fries combo (+$100 NT).

The sandwich might not look like much when you first get it, but it’s packed to the BRIM with meat, veggies, and pickles. I do wish the cheese was melted and that they put a toothpick on each side so it didn’t just fall apart after 1 bite.

I will say the combo is a little overpriced for what you’re getting (I expected more fries tbh).
