This is the first Japanese cafe i went to in taiwan. I didn't expect anything, but the taste was surprisingly amazing. You cannot doubt Japanese food in western style. They still give you good care of taste of the food. First the egg salad sandwich is taste good, in the other hand it was so easy to spill out the egg with because the sauce is not holding strong. With bread that toasted only on the outside and the inside is still soft. Its was the best toast i eaten in my life. Chicken karage taste good with out any sauce. The coffee taste good and jelly inside it give you more refreshing taste and texture in drink. The best food in the cafe is the tonkatsu sandwich. You get crispy skin with super soft and tender pork cutlets. The bread is soft too to hold and keep crispiness of the pork skin. You can tear the pork with your hand. Thats how soft it is. Last the dessert is amazing. It something hard to describe but i thought the vanilla taste in the ice cream is too strong. For the price of them start around 150 up. The pork sandwich is 200 plus. But the price of cafe ( place to sit for long time) with that kind of taste. I think all is worth it. Super recommended for any of you who like Japanese style food with variations. Hope you guys make the video of tearing the...
Read moreRight when I came in the staff at the front saw me take my temperature and asked me how many people so I told him one. Then I was told to wait 5-15 minutes because it was full. Another customer comes in and was told the same thing. That customer was also just one person. Then literally NOT EVEN FIVE minutes later, the staff comes and goes to the other customer and asked "You came in first right?". Excuse me?? I was literally just waiting there for NOT EVEN FIVE MINUTES and you couldn't remember which customer came first? Good thing that customer told the staff I was first otherwise I would've just gotten cut in. And not even that, the staff asks me to take my temperature again... I JUST took it when I came in and YOU SAW THAT. You think my temperature would've changed in FIVE MINUTES?? Seriously, this place needs to train their staff better, this kind of service is just...
Read moreIt was my first time, and It was better than I expected. I had a preconceived idea of Komeda's as an overpriced and gimmicky chain, so I passed the opportunity to go in a few times before. I was wrong, it's a great place and I'll definitely visit more locations. I've seen other reviews that mention high prices, but I think the prices are actually pretty fair because the portions are generous. The two of us actually ordered too much food, one sandwich and a drink would have left us feeling pretty full. The quality of the food is also good, notably the bread for all the toast and sandwiches. No evidence of any skimping on ingredients in any of the dishes we...
