I made an appointment with Mary Hair Design for a perm over Line and was assigned Jenny as my stylist. Jenny was warm and friendly, and she was also helpful in advising me on a suitable perm style. I came in with a few reference photos, and Jenny honestly shared that the particular style would require higher maintenance to achieve on my own (I.e. with the help of tools) given my hair texture. Jenny suggested an alternative perm style that was easier to maintain, showing me a reference photo.

Once we agreed on the style and hair length, Jenny showed me the pricing slip which honored the newcomer discounts for a perm and hair treatment. I appreciated that the costs were confirmed up front. Do note that the salon is cash only, and you pay after the service is complete.

We were then ready for a shampoo and cut. Jenny was meticulous with her cutting and perm prep. Once my perm was complete, Jenny communicated how to blow dry and style my hair at home. The perm was beautiful and looked just like the reference photo.

I decided to get a haircut on a whim while on my vacation in Taiwan. I found Maryhairdesign on Google and this place did not disappoint. My stylist was Jenny and she was very lovely. I expressed to her what style I was looking for and my damaged hair issues. She was attentive and did her very best to fix my hair and I was extremely happy with the final product. Also, the hair wash was amazing as the technician gave an awesome head massage. I highly recommend this salon for locals and tourists. I do want to mention that the stylists and technicians there do not speak/speak very limited English. Luckily my husband, who speaks Mandarin, did the translation for me but you can definitely communicate through Google Translate or other translation apps or devices. Highly...

Just under 10 USD for a hair wash which has a good amount of head massage in it — truly a life hack!!! Plus they do simple styling for your hair. It’s like getting a 3 in 1 experience.

Also got my hair cut here by Jenny, who gave amazing suggestions on a hair style that fits my face shape! My haircut was under 20 USD. They also have lower priced options for haircuts based on the stylist you choose, but I loved Jenny she did a great job!
