There is a pot of hype about this plus, but I'm unsure as to why.
The service is ok, the food is ok, the atmosphere is below par, and the prices are crazy.
The concept of "broccoli and beer" would make you think there is possibly a good few options of beer and or vegetables (at least broccoli), though you'd be mistaken. Their large selection of beer includes: cas. OR if you'd like to have a budweiser, you can pay for the beer in a cocktail but without the cocktail...which makes no sense. They have empty beer bottles dotted around the place, although none which they actually sell.
We waited an extra day and booked the only slot they had for the next day which was 19:40. We ended up leaving after eating and spending quite a lot of money, and going down the road and finding more food to eat in a noodle takeaway place.
Genuinely disappointed with this place. Lots of hype for nothing. The English level of the staff is quite poor, and only one or maximum two people spoke it, but if the menu is in English you should be able to know what the food is.
Sad to say I won't be visiting again and would not recommend others to...
Read moreI think this is more like fusion Korean cuisine, but the food tastes good! Drinks are great too 👍🏻 Price is reasonable, service is good, and the restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere, music is not too loud so people can still have a nice conversation. They do have a two hour dining time limit, but they don’t drive away the customers if no one’s waiting.
Must order the seafood pancake, it had crispy texture, very recommended. The bibimbap didn’t come with rice, so we had to order extra rice to mix it with. Korean fried chicken had a sweet flavour and the batter was different from usual. The cheese spicy rice cake was good, we liked the texture of the rice cike, still chewy even though its cold. The deep fried crab was palatable, though the crab shells could have been crispier. The iron plate squid was okay, a distinct flavour. The army base cheese ramen was the least appetizing, very bland in taste. As for drinks, love their homemade makgeolli, they mixed it well.
Overall, it was a good dining experience. Better to make a reservation in advance to avoid the queue cause this place...
Read moreDespite the name, Broccolibeer doesn’t really feature any broccoli dishes, which was a bit surprising. The place is clearly popular for group gatherings, so it can get quite loud, not the best spot if you’re looking for a quiet meal.
Service was great, with friendly and attentive staff, but the food itself was just average. The fried chicken was juicy, though the sauce tasted rather bland; I was hoping for something sweeter or more flavorful. The “pizza seafood pancake” was an interesting fusion idea, but not quite to my taste.
I also tried some beef, but could barely eat two pieces since it was full of tendons and tough to chew. On the brighter side, the kimchi was very good, and the egg with crab was fine, though not particularly memorable.
Overall, a decent spot for casual drinks and snacks with friends, but not somewhere I’d go back just...
