Love their 蛋饼 egg crepes!
Listened to their advice and ordered chef speciality: 鲔鱼肉松蛋饼 and blown away! The tuna was not fishy. The amazing thing is the pork floss was so creamy! Note that I’m not a pork floss person to begin with. But pork floss elevated the whole dish! Not to mention the crepe is so crispy! So much texture happening! We tried a few other egg rolls such as German sausage (a little too dry) but none tasted as good as their signature!
We went back twice in the week to have the signature tuna with pork floss egg roll.
The radish cake depends on individual taste bud. I’m not a radish cake person but I find theirs pretty good. The radish cake itself has a loose fluffy texture which i like. Some parts of the skin was crispy. The Thai basil and chili paste goes well together. However, my partner (who usually enjoys radish cake) didn’t like it.
Staff: a female staff member does speak good English. She was also friendly to give recommendations and suggested to add on cheese on certain dish to elevate the taste. Staff was kind to allow us to add on a dish at 10:40am, 20mins to their closing time. Some customers review of bad service which I don’t get it. What is wrong of owner to remind you of their closing time?
This place is my top choice when I return to Taipei. The egg roll...
Read moreMy first time visiting 4+ Breakfast, I ordered the Chinese omelet with pork floss, radish cake, and toast with pork floss and egg. On the second visit, we tried the Chinese omelet with hash browns, radish cake, thick toast with golden crispy topping, and toast with egg and hash brown. Both times, we enjoyed their soy milk black tea.
The omelet is absolutely delicious, wrapped in a thin, crêpe-like layer that’s soft and perfectly seasoned. Their pork floss is tasty and pairs well with both the omelet and toast. The radish cake has a crispy exterior that adds a nice texture.
The thick toast with golden crispy topping is another standout. The top of the toast has a delightful, slightly sweet crispiness that’s unique—we couldn’t quite figure out what type of spread they use, and even the owner couldn’t explain it! I guess I’ll just have to figure it out after a third visit.
The soy milk black tea is lightly sweet and refreshing. The place itself is cozy, with a friendly vibe and welcoming staff. It’s also English-friendly, which makes the experience...
Read moreThe first time I had breakfast here was due to the algorithm (a.k.a coincidence). I had a Chinese omelette with sausage, radish cakes, and coffee milk tea. It was so delicious that I told myself I had to go back, and I went back 5 days in a row! There was even a secret menu with amazing dishes such as toast with peanut butter, spicy chicken steak, and egg salad. Not only was the food really good, but also the customer service was fantastic! The owner and her staff were kind and friendly, and gave me food recommendations from which I got to explore their vast menu. There was a typhoon during my stay in Taipei and regardless of the rain and wind, getting breakfast at 4+ Break was something I looked forward to every day. This place is a must eat whether you’re a local or a tourist since good food is a universal language we can...
