The hotel is good, price is reasonable. Housekeeper does the job well. Most of the staffs are nice.
However I am having problems with both their washing machine and dryer.
I encountered problem the washing machine, it didn’t finished the cycle when times up. When I open the washing machine, the clothes are still wet, very very wet. When I asked help from counter staff, they asked if I didn’t put enough money (10 dollars coins x10) with black face. They don’t even want to come to the laundry room and check with me until I asked to do so.
Again i faced issue with the dryer, the door can’t open after the 2 hours and 18 minutes of cycle. They also told me because I didn’t put enough money and it is impossible to take more than 2 hours to run the dryer without even asking me the problem I faced. Luckily I took photo as a proof that the dryer took more than 2 hours to complete the cycle.
I was so angry and told the front staff it is only 100 Taiwan dollars for each wash/dryer. I don’t have to save money for that.
The hotel is good and convenient, but please if you want to do laundry please go to other places...
Read moreI have visited this hotel on 3 separate occasions with each tourist stay being about 5-8 days long. It is very convenient to the Taipei Metro only a few minutes walk. I've always felt welcome and although traveling with a Chinese speaking companion they were always considerate and helpful in my contact with them. I love the free breakfast! Sure, I also stay at the Howard where the breakfast is incredible, but I enjoy Forward's simple approach as we eat our way around Taipei and don't need to stuff ourselves beforehand. ||My stays have been from 2006 to the last stay in 2017. I am returning to Taipei and the Forward in a couple weeks. I'm booked in a balcony room and have asked for a high floor. It's a small room but we are here to see Taipei, not the room. I'm anxious to enjoy this trip at the Forward. I will spend my last 3 nights at the Howard, ha ha before moving on the mainland China for 3 weeks. I'll return here to give a review of my...

No interest or focus on the customer, just cash in money and the next customer. The rooms ar fine, a little bit old, with some used furniture and a 20 year old TV set without a free HDMI input, with prices in between 3000-3500 NTD, and for this price YOU DON'T GET ANY MEALS served during the quarantine period, you buy it by yourself Ubereats or Food Panda. Rat treatment for people who chose this location for the quarantine stay. In other quarantine hotels where I've stayed in Taipei the receptionist offers help and for an extra fee it makes himself the shopping for your groceries, including some cigarettes or a cube of sugar... Without any comments. Here is not possible this, so 0 Stars from my point of view! If I could I...
