Pataya Fried Rice ($295): It’s their chef’s special fried rice and the taste actually hits different with a mixture of saltiness, umami, slight spiciness. The fried rice is well seasoned with various spices and covers some squid inside.

Milk Tea (Teh Tarik) ($130) (Cold/Hot): The origin of this milk tea can be traced back to Indian-Muslim immigrants in the Malay Peninsula. In my opinion, not going to lie this is one of the best milk tea I’ve ever had, which tastes sweeter and creamier than Taiwanese Pearl Milk Tea. There’s got to be something special added to the drink.

This southeastern Asian fusion restaurant is located on the second floor of Eslite Spectrum. You can reach here by the MRT and get off at Zhongshan Station.

To sum up, the southeastern Asian dishes they have made are absolutely authentic and impressive with great portions. The service is pretty nice and efficient and the prices are moderate. Overall, it’s a 9.5 out of 10!

Yabi Kitchen offers several cuisines in one place - Singaporean, Malaysian, Indonesian, Thai and even Taiwanese cuisines.

Their Bak Kuh Teh isn’t as good as those I’ve tried back in Southeast Asia, but was still a respectable version. I wish the ribs were more tender though.

The Beef Rendang wasn’t as spicy and flavorful as the authentic ones, but I really loved it! Beef was very tender!!!

I got the Mango Pomelo Sago for dessert, and the ice cream was very thick and creamy (👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽), extra points for making mango available even if it isn’t in season during winter.

I thinks the prices are very reasonable for the portions and the quality. Staff were extremely helpful too! Giving Yabi Kitchen a solid 4/5 stars! Will definitely come back and try the others in...

We were invited to YABI Kitchen for lunch and it was outstanding. Their cuisine takes inspiration from different South Asia countries and provides some very memorable dishes like the Coffee Pork Ribs (Ribs covered with a coffee based sauce), YABI Pizza (Roti Prata with minced beef and Northern Thai spicy sausage), to name a few. The service was good and the atmosphere was relaxing. There is a time limit of 1.5 hours for dining, which is understandable given the fact that is Sunday.
