Location: Conveniently located in a small alley near Taipei Main Station. Ambiance: Cooler inside, but very hot and humid outside. Menu: No English menu available; translation app and local help needed. Food Quality: Quite disappointing; tasted like freshly cooked instant noodles, lacking flavor and authenticity. Service: Friendly and helpful staff, despite the language barrier.
The noodle restaurant is located in a small alley near Taipei Main Station. The surroundings can be extremely hot and humid, especially for Europeans, making it uncomfortable to stay outside. However, once you step into the restaurant, you immediately feel more comfortable due to the cooler and more pleasant temperature inside.
A significant drawback of the restaurant is the lack of an English menu. This can be challenging for tourists and non-native speakers. Using a translation app was essential to select dishes. Fortunately, the staff was very friendly and helpful. With the assistance of some locals who were also in the restaurant, we were finally able to order two dishes for takeout.
Despite the good reviews that attracted us to the restaurant, the culinary experience was disappointing. The ordered dishes did not meet expectations. The noodles strongly resembled freshly cooked instant noodles and lacked the depth of flavor and authenticity one would expect from a specialized noodle restaurant. They were bland and lacked refinement, significantly diminishing the dining experience.
A bright spot was the friendly staff. Despite the language barrier, the employees were patient and eager to provide the best possible assistance. This friendliness and helpfulness were remarkable and contributed to a somewhat positive overall impression.
Overall, the noodle restaurant left a mixed impression. The convenient location near Taipei Main Station and the friendly staff are definite pluses. However, the lack of an English menu and the disappointing quality of the food are significant drawbacks. For tourists, a visit could still be worthwhile if they are looking for an authentic Taiwanese experience and are willing to overcome language challenges. On the other hand, expectations regarding the culinary quality should perhaps be adjusted to avoid...

Each strand was perfectly coated, the beef unbelievably tender, and the flavors so profoundly savory and satisfying it was a 'dear god, this is incredible!' moment. An unforgettable taste of true...

The texture of the noodles was perfect, and the broths were flavourful and not too spicy for us. The place had a really nice atmosphere too, busy but very quiet with the only sound being that of chopsticks clicking...
