I was really satisfied with my last visit in 2023 and decided to revisit. However, it was the WORST restaurant experience in Taiwan. There famous dumplings used to be so juicy that almost tasted like soup but this time it was just dry. I don’t know if the chef changed but the food has changed from 2023. Service was not pleasant either, they hardly spoke english. Eventhough we arrived 30 minutes before open time we were seated next to the door. And they had the audacity to ASK ME FOR A TIP. In asia, you don’t tip. I’m asian and i know that. Service charge was already included in our meal… Why would we pay you tip when 1. You gave me the most unwanted table 2. Foods were not up to my expectation 3. When there is ALREADY A SERVICE FEE INCLUDED IN MY CHECK? The xiaolongbao were absolute perfection—one bite and the rich, savory broth just burst in my mouth. So delicious, honestly even better than the ones I had at Din Tai Fung in Singapore three years ago! 🥟💦
I also loved the chilled chicken topped with fresh ginger—so refreshing! The spicy noodles and XO fried rice were both fantastic too. 🍜🍚
