The food, staff, and atmosphere here go above and beyond in every way possible. Absolutely the best meal we’ve had in Taiwan the entire 9 days we’ve been here. I tried to be conservative in how much food I ordered, and yet, I can’t remember ever feeling quite this satiated in probably over a decade. Every morsel, from the incredibly soft and buttery bread and delectable onion soup, to the last bite of the soufflé desert with vanilla sauce, was to die for. The cocktails and champagne were just perfect. The staff was kind enough to stay long after closing to allow us to finish our meal at a comfortable pace, which we very much appreciated. We were the only customers in the entire restaurant tonight, which I can only assume is because Chinese New Year is at an end and everyone else is getting back to work. I personally think it is better than many high-end American restaurants in Taipei, especially those American restaurants near Xinyi District😆⋯⋯The service was very good throughout the meal, but it was a pity that when the time was close to closing, we had not finished the meal, the service staff was in a hurry to collect the plates. The salads were pretty good, fresh barrata cheese. Onion soup was average, thick but missing some of that beefy flavor. The steak was cooked nicely, medium rare, good flavor, but just a tab tough.
