Had an absolutely superb date night dinner here. We easily booked online and were even able to push the time further back when we realized we might be running late~ the staff was professional, the space is beautiful and includes cozy indoor and outdoor seating options, and the atmosphere is wonderfully cheerful with plenty of happy diners laughing and drinking and eating together ♡ Every dish we ordered was fantastic and highly recommended. We got the mixed seafood chicken and sausage gumbo, classic chicken and waffles (large size), pesto chicken pasta, one huge raw oyster for me, and beignets with condensed milk for dessert. The gumbo was super flavorful and with generous portions of every kind of seafood and protein, and came with rice, toasted bread AND fries. The chicken and waffles were also huge with fragrant maple syrup and amazing with Tabasco hot sauce. The pizza was larger than we expected too and super crispy, cheesy and herby. The large raw oyster was so fresh, and satisfying to slurp up with lime and hot sauce ~ the dessert was a decedent finish to the meal too! Super fluffy and hot out of the fryer. P.s. I appreciated how their bathroom sink had single use shots of mouth wash, cuz my boyfriend hates raw oysters and forced me to use it after I ate mine 😂
Definitely would be great for either date night or bringing a group of friends to...
Read moreIn terms of Fish & Chips, the battered fish wasn’t cut into chunks but easy to be cut off with a fork. The coating was crispy and the fish was soft and had an incredible smell while just served. The Tartar sauce here was also delicious and got a sufficient portion for the fish. The potato wedges were crunchy and fairly delicious with the ketchup. In my opinion, they always got better texture than the normal chips.
Tiramisu was sweet, creamy and had a tendency of pudding texture which somehow was the reason why it might be the most delicious tiramisu ever. The cookies underneath were also delicious and nicely baked.
Fruit Mojito (Mocktail) was quite with a sweet, sour, and tangy taste. It also had amazing texture of fruits inside.
In conclusion, both interior and exterior decorations were colourful and elaborate. There was even a sand play on the patio. The foods here definitely had its superiority even though the price was moderately high. Overall, it’s a 10 out of 10 for certain.
FYI, you place your order by scanning...
Read moreHad dinner here with wife after a disappointing yet expensive lunch at Jiufen. Wanted more meat and some beer near our hotel, so decided on this. It claims to be a Louisiana restaurant, but I'd say it's Louisiana inspired. It's like saying Olive Garden is an authentic Italian restaurant. It's enjoyable, but probably not authentic.
Had a Flatiron steak on risotto, a fish and chips with a side of pork chop and garden salad, I had a wheat ale which is 1 for 1 all day, and my wife had a tieguanyin cocktail. We enjoyed everything. The steak was tender, dinner medium rare, and the risotto was tasty as well, but let's not kid ourselves - it's more like mui fan than risotto. We enjoyed it though. Fish and chips was standard, can't really get that wrong. Pork chop and garden salad was also pretty good. I liked my wheat ale, which was kinda like Blue Moon. My wife loved her cocktail too. Service was OK, but they close quite early and had to send my 2nd beer before I...
