Coffee Lab — Restaurant in Zhongzheng District

Great espresso and great in house (on porch) roasted beans. This small cafe (~15 seats) with a home-feel use a conti espresso machine and mazzer grinders. I believe it is run by two young baristas whose technique surpassed anything I experienced in Taiwan.

We got two SO pour overs and they were good. Perhaps a little burnt for the Ethiopian but it still had complex fruity flavors. Two negatives 1. they had only about 30% of the coffees on the menu available. And 2. despite us being the only customers in the store at the end of the day, they forced us to spend a minimum 220NTD per person which is a bit rude. If they had all the options available maybe it would have been worth it. They have a cute cat so I'd give it 4.5...
