I came here with my wife for breakfast during a very busy day on Sunday, a running event was being held in Taipei on that day. We were standing around and the man wearing wearing glasses came up to us directly and asked if we wanted to eat in and asked how many people. He sensed my wife was Japanese and offered her a Japanese menu and myself an English menu, which was greatly appreciated and he explained in English about what to do.

On the plastic menu i checked off items I wanted to eat and my wife checked off items on the Japanese menu. The guy consolidated all the items on the English menu without any fuss. We were seated shortly , about five minutes later, and our food came out very quickly. My wife ordered the pork egg roll, and it was really delicious. If you like roasted or grilled meats I would suggest this one. I had egg and ham It’s also common to have tables shared, so don’t be shocked if someone uses up some space for your table.

After you finish, just go to the main “cash register” and pay near the front. You’ll see a box full of coins near the breakfast sandwiches. Because they were busy on that day doing takeout as well, we waited for a minute before we paid for the bill.

I would go back and be a regular here if I lived in Taipei. The food is well priced and the drinks were great, and there is so many different foods to try.

The fact that so many locals were eating there says a lot.

Side note 1: Some of the locals really enjoyed the sauce with fish. It’s a condiment. It’s not on every table, but you can grab it and use it and bring it back if you feel bad about it. No need to be shy, as I saw two locals do that.

Side note 2: Yes, you can do take out as well. At the top of the plastic menu is an option.

Side note 3: They have water sprays at stall around the corner and a little bit on the sidewalk for cooling.

Side note 4: The man with glasses was very helpful to the many English speaking tourists who came to the stall. I respected that he never felt bothered and took initiative to check with tourists if they were eating at the stall or not. Very good hospitality among a chaotic environment.

The food was so good,we went two days in a row when we stayed in Taipei for 2 nights.

First day we ordered egg roll with ham and cheese pie with tuna. But they gave us corn egg roll instead of with ham. But they were so busy, i can't blame them and it was still very delicious. They have english menu and japanese menu - they might have more language options but those were the ones I saw. Some of the translations are a bit off but you get what they mean. The food was cheap and delicious, no wonder they are so popular. We waited about 5-10 mins after ordering to get our food.
