The place was a crowded on a Sunday evening but the staff was able to get us a table after about 10 minutes. You are given a physical menu to browse through but you order by scanning a QR code with your phone and ordering using the online menu. The prices on the physical menu are outdated and you'll see the updated prices online. It would be good if they could update the prices on the physical menu (perhaps with stickers?) so that you won't get confused when you see the online prices. The price difference for most of the items is not that big (ex: pasta, from NTD130 to NTD150) but the drink bar on the physical menu is NTD50 as opposed to NTD75 online. The online menu does not have the option to switch to English so we had to use Google Translate to navigate it at the start and to figure out some of the instructions like "use only one device per table" ordering from the menu itself, it's easy enough because of the pictures. We enjoy dining at family restaurants in Japan, despite them being fairly busy, the atmosphere is still somewhat laidback so we found this particular Saizeriya too noisy when we visited. While the drink bar was a bit of a letdown (compared to family restaurants in Japan), it did offer 2 juices, iced tea, a few soda options, and a decent selection of coffee as well as tea bags. The pasta was delicious and inexpensive. The veggie dish (broccoli with mushrooms) we ordered was also quite nice though some of the mushrooms were not very soft. The fries and chicken popcorn appetizer was kind of meh but then again, it's probably on the menu to appeal to kids. Overall, the food was quite good and fairly priced. Because it was rather noisy, we didn't stay as long as we planned to. We were initially planning on staying a little longer to try the tiramisu but decided to leave and just grabbed dessert from a convenience store. Maybe our experience will be better if we go when it's less crowded though we won't be rushing back...
Read moreMy one super bad experience with cashier (maybe also manager) here on the evening of 07/05. I will never go back! My dinner runs from about 10:10pm-10:38pm. There was no story to tell when the cashier came to tell me to pay around 10:20pm, then I told her I could finish my meal and then pay before closing time. After about 3 minutes, she came to my place again while I was eating, chewing in my mouth, she pointed at my bill with a very arrogant look and told me to come pay immediately and when it's also just 10:28pm. I was very angry and went to complain that I have never had such a bad experience in other branch restaurants, she did not even offer an apology! How do you think when your store closed at 11:00pm and I didn't order anything else when you asked me before 10:30pm, but you forced me to pay while eating?!? So rude! At checkout, she didn't even ask me about 載具, even though I had the screen ready for scanning the e-invoice. Really very unprofessional, rude and bad! Do not recommend you coming...

Unlike any other Saizeriya, this branch is not too crowded even though located near Taipei main station. Maybe because the location a bit hidden on the 3rd floor without any fancy sign that can be seen from outside the building. But the most typical customer is still similar, students or small group of family/friends that want to grab a quick meal.
The food are mostly Italian (pasta/pizza). But don't expect it to be authentic somewhat. The food is okay. I like how many options they have so you won't get bored visiting several times. The most heavy food I can think here are steak. (And add white rice if you want 😆, mind you, 1 portion of white rice here is around 2 bowl of rice you get from any other bientang food stall)
Drinks need to be paid but free refills. You can have soft drinks, coffee or tea. Don't be ashamed if you just want free drinking water 😆
Right now they have reduced menu options. I suppose it's due to dining restrictions. Some menu can also be ordered...
