Cossis Fries&chicken — Restaurant in Arusha

I’m giving one star not because of the food, but because of how I was treated. I’ve been dealing with an allergy for a few days and discreetly blew my nose at my table. Suddenly, someone across the restaurant started shouting at me. Instead of asking them to calm down, the staff came to tell me that what I did was “not okay.” This is a fast-food restaurant — not a fine dining place. Quietly blowing your nose due to a medical issue should not be treated like some kind of offense. I’m clean, respectful, and was simply trying not to sniffle nonstop. The way it was handled made me feel judged and unwelcome.

Also, just like other reviews have mentioned: – You have to pay before getting your food, – No receipt is given unless you specifically ask, – The chicken I was served was cold, – And the plastic fork broke when I tried to pick up a fry.

So I've been coming to Cossis for a few years now and the chips are to die for. But somehow they manage to mess up in new and creative ways. No sense of time when it comes to delivery. They will call whenever they feel like to let you know they are coming to deliver. Even when i pick it up, and they have told me it shouldn't take more than 20 minutes. I somehow end up sitting outside waiting for another 20 minutes contemplating my decision to keep coming here. As they say, fool me once shame on me.. Fool me twice, shame on you... we used to go there quite often. It was nice and very good when they opened up. Now, after a couple of months, we went again. It has dramatically changed. Lazy and slow waitress, we should pay before even getting our food and without receipt, food was cold and bad. My Chipsi were sour; the coleslow salad tasteless. Before, food was served in cool wooden trays with paper and proper cutlery. Now in cheapPLASTIC baskets with aluminium foil and disposable plastic forks. Juices were served in glasses, now in disposable plastic cups. What a waste and heep of garbage! An environmental disaster. All in all veeeery...
