Racha Riverside32 — Restaurant in Bang Rak Subdistrict

Food here is fantastic. We ordered crab curry, mango salad, and creamy pork soup. The portions are big.

The crab curry is all meat, no shell to make you work for your meal. It's not spicy but very creamy from what I believe is egg. Mango salad was refreshing. It comes with cured shrimp which give it extra flavour. The soup was so worth it. Strong pandan and coconut flavour with lots of ingredients. When I thought I had fished out all the meat, there was more. They gave a lot of meat.

I saw another customer ordering the prawns and they were huge. Can't say much about taste but it did look good.

View was of ICONSIAM and you could see the boats traveling up and down the river.

Service was also good, we ate upstairs, and the staff were very accommodating. They were always around when we needed something too.

One con is that it is frequented by tourist groups, which may be loud. Not saying any names, but you know who.

Overall, highly recommended. Especially over a certain place nearby that's supposedly...

I was going to go to Icon Siam. When my mom, aunt, and older sister went to the ticket booth, they shouted and blocked me with their arms and forcefully told me to go out and buy tickets. When I went to buy tickets, there were two parasols outside, and the two groups were selling products separately. The boat fare to Icon Siam is 6 to 16 baht per person (240 to 700 won). The fare sold at Racha River 32 is 80,000 won for 2 hours on a small boat, which is $65. I thought this was a place that was forcing travel products. I searched on Google and walked to Si Phraya next door. It was about 10 minutes?? I bought a boat ticket to Icon Siam for 6 baht per person and thought it would end when I got on the boat, but the boat stopped at Racha Riverside, picked up people, and went to Icon Siam. I found out that this place called Si Phraya is a place that scams foreigners. In particular, it is a place that was forcing foreign tourists because they didn't know, and it is a place where everyone is colluding to do business. How very disappointing. I normally only review a place if I can give it five stars. But this restaurant failed to deliver in so many ways, I'll break my rule. It has the atmosphere of a transport cafe. It's location over the river has so much potential. A side order of chips appeared a good five minutes before anything else. We had a variety of main and side dishes, most of which contained very poor quality chicken, with way too much cartilage and not enough meat. A chicken curry had literally no flavour. And a side of stir-fried vegetables failed to appear at all, except for being on the bill. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly but couldn't make up for the disappointment.
