Last dinner with my partner in Chiang Mai before going to Krabi the next day.
Saving the best for last as they say, the other restaurants were great and very good, but this one took the number 1 spot out of the 5 we've tried in total for many reasons:
✅️Food It was local, tasted amazing, portions weren't too big, so you don't end up waddling out of the place even if, like us, you've ordered a side each and a main. Highly recommend the Chickpea deepfried tofu and the Seitan(cant remember the exact name of the dish) as sides/appetisers, served with tasty sauces. I went for the "duck" tofu with noddles as my main, and it was amazing.
✅️Drinks Diverse drink selection, fresh coconut, very good fruit shakes, beers, etc. All served fresh. We both took a fruit shake for the way back to our hotel (20mins walk).
✅️Service Perfect, attentive, and proactive service, it was a busy day (12th of April - day before official Songkran start), we sat at a small table, but that worked out for us, once a bigger table at the front, facing the street and therefore perfect for people watching became available they offered us to move over there for comfort and we truly appreciated that!
✅️Location On the east side of the city off the main road, super...
Read moreI find the menu a bit confusing because they didn’t add vegan/vegetarian label beside each item. Some items have the word vegan in its name and some don’t , but I didn’t see egg/dairy in it either, so it was a bit confusing. But overall it was a nice experience. I ordered three dishes that I was certain to be vegan, and used translator to tell the staff that I want to remove garlic, onions and green onions. Make sure you use translator to translate such requirements as some staff may not understand English that well. Google translator should be just fine! Very handy!
They totally understood the thai translation, and all the dishes were exactly the way I wanted! I was so relieved because I was a bit worried the chef may forget about it!
So overall I’m very grateful about their work! The food were all clean and nice! Had a great time having some stir fried veggie!
It’s by the street, but the place looks tidy and clean! I would recommend it if you are interested in having some family style thai food!
Each dish were about 70-90 baht, I paid 248 baht for what I got...
Read moreNot a very well organised restaurant. You order on their website (to eat onsite). I specially added a comment in English that I am allergic to peanuts and sesame. I received a dish fried on sesame oil and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Upon my remark that I am allergic to it, they took the dish away, removed the visible pieces of sesame and brought the same dish back (with some seeds still there). I am pretty sure they didn't even read my comment and that should be the main task of the waitress! Another dish was with a peanut sauce (at least served separately) and they also did not warn me about the contents. We also did not receive the water we ordered but we would have paid for it, if I hadn't told them it had not been delivered. The dish itself was supposed to be noodles with vegetables and tofu, but the most of it was just noodles. The vegetables were a bit of carrot...
