Extremely dissapointed - ordered at this restaurant and at the time of the order there was only 3 other people waiting to order. We waited 45minutes for one dish to arrive. The same waitress did not notice at the time of dropping down the food that my order was missing. I waited patiently as often is the case, dishes are ready separate in Thailand. After my boyfriend finished his meal, and other people who arrived much later were receiving their food (over an hour later) the waitress noticed me looking around. She said nothing but from her frantic looking through the orders I realised she obviously forgot mine - don't get me wrong I appreciate this is easy to happen. However the restaurant was extremely small and quiet. She did?not inform or explain the mistake to me. When I asked to pay for the one meal and cancel my order the owner (I presume) came out, instead of apologising she just blamed the waitress, who giggled. This was extremely frustrating and I would have understood with a bit more of an explanation and customer service. The one meal we did receive (the burrito) was OK tasting but not filling at all and definitely not worth waiting 45 minutes. Could not recommend this place at all. Much nicer options...

Situated on one of the side streets in old city, this is a great place to have a relaxed meal. We came here for a late lunch and there were only a few guests dining. It’s an open air spot which makes the place feel very open and there are fans to keep the place relatively cool.

We ordered the fresh spring roll and the yellow pumpkin curry with rice. The pumpkin curry was surprisingly very light which was a nice change from some of the heavier curries I’ve had recently. The fresh spring roll was also super delicious. It was filled with a lot of fresh vegetables and mango. It comes with twi sauces: a spicy chili one and a creamy peanut. The combination of sweet from the mango, spice from the chili, and the cream from the peanut sauce was just perfect :) the curry portion was on the smaller side but I feel very satisfied and good after the meal.

The pineapple shake was also nice. Unlike some places that feel like they fill up the shake with ice, this place’s shake was very flavorful and naturally sweet. Can’t wait to come back and eat here again!

Good food Very fresh Hand made salad rolls (owners wife I’m assuming ) if your vegan would be a great place to stop Quiet street with Thai locals working in the kitchen Very cheap prices

My problem was the owner, when we arrived we sat ourselves and he came over and put menus down, didn’t say hello or engage or look at us etc I felt like we were totally bothering him and being annoying for whatever reason I had to say “hello” and then he finally acknowledged us I’ve worked in the service industry for over 15 years and one of the MOST important things is personality and people skills and a welcoming atmosphere, which this totally lacked !!!

A few nights later we went to “the friendship concept “ and let me tell you the difference a friendly owner makes !!! Go to the friendship concept and you will know what I mean about happy friendly inviting welcoming staff and OWNER!!!

I’m not trying to slam this owner or restaurant but I believe he could really really improve a lot with personality and people skills Even just a simple hello...

The food: the vegan Pad Thai is excellent! The dessert: you should take the coconut ice cream if you like ice cream, as it's really good. Worth returning. The mango with sticky rice was okay+ but I would suggest peeling the skin for a better experience because in this way you don't need to dig inside. The coffee: the cappuccino with coconut milk is surprisingly good! Why surprisingly? Because it's not an 'only coffee' place, and most of the time only the places that serve only coffee are making amazing coffee. The atmosphere: mostly it seems busy, which means that business is good, but you don't wait a lot of time for your order, so it's nice. Crowded meaning you cannot come to read there but it's not overly noisy. Verdict: It doesn't worth coming only for the coffee but for the Pad Thai, ice cream, and coffee it is worth it.

One visit in, and I’m already planning a return trip - I am *obsessed*. First, I had the perfect papaya salad - all the flavour, none of the shrimp. Loved it. This was followed by my first ever khao soi - and it was everything I hoped it would be. A little spicy, a little sour, crispy, salty, chewy, fresh, everything I want in the perfect soup tbh. I will dream of finding this dish in restaurants forever now, scouring the menu of every Thai place I come across, hoping there’s a veggie khao soi. Most of the time it’ll have meat in it and even if it’s vegetarian, it likely won’t be a patch on the one I just ate. So yes, wow. Hats off to the chef at Mr Green. Delicious. Probably I’ll have to visit chiang Mai at least once every two years to keep getting my hit of this, until I find a closer source.
