Pros: Live music, we enjoyed the popcorn before the meal, and the ambiance of the restaurant was nice. Buttons on the table to request service which is helpful. Staff was friendly and accommodating for our dietary restrictions as we are vegetarians.

Cons: Unfortunately, there was a live, squirming green caterpillar in our spring rolls. I noticed it before eating any and the staff was apologetic and replaced the dish with fried spring rolls and took it off our bill. Honestly, I think they should have done more. We got the Pad Thai, fried spring rolls, and Tom Yum. In my opinion, none of it was very good and I’m not picky with food— there just wasn’t very much flavor and the caterpillar didn’t help. My friend liked the Tom Yum more than I did though. We always finish our food and we didn’t have the desire to here. Maybe it’s better if you’re not...

Probably one of the worst restaurants around. Do not get me wrong, the place is as beautifully designed as its neighbouring hotel (where I happily stayed for an entire week in April of 2025) but the food is a disaster. How can anyone mess up Tom Yum soup (under seasoned and the noodles are clumped together as if they were re-heated in a microwave)? The glass doors have a big ‘always 25% off’ and that is simply value detracting. I see how you run a restaurant to serve breakfast for your hotel guests (which was fine) and how you then want to get walk in customers from the street but the quality of food needs a complete makeover (after which I suggest you also drop the constant discount as you should compete on...

Worst service we experienced in Thailand, and we were even staying at the hotel (which was nice, separately). They forgot our drinks, then took away our food when we asked for our drinks (who does that??), then brought it back our COLD after eventually getting our drinks. Waited over 20 minutes for our check after asking for it twice, and am still waiting as I type this. Place is nearly empty too.

Would not recommend and avoid in the future.

Update: received the check after 30 minutes after asking a separate waiter from a different table. The manager was actively ignoring us despite the "call button" being...

The ambience of this place is truly spectacular, it’s a modern chic vibe. As for the food, the seared ahi tuna appetizer I got was wonderful. Great flavor, tasted high quality. The lighting was poor so the pictures don’t do its justice. However, I got the chicken wrap and it was not very good. The lettuce in it tasted twangy and kinda ruined the dish. Also the chicken seasoning tasted a bit odd. Of course, I probably should have gotten a Thai dish, but I’ve been eating Thai food the past 7 days. I wanted a break. The servers were wonderful, friendly, and very attentive.

No 6 Restaurant is a fabulous place to relax and unwind. The décor is elegant and refined and the seating very comfortable. The atmosphere is very lay back. This restaurant is the perfect place to relax over drinks on a hot afternoon or a long leisurely dinner with friends or loved ones. The food is Northern Thai cuisine and absolutely delicious and very varied and exciting to us foodies. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this restaurant if you find yourself in Chiang Mai old city.
