Opened since 1971, this place is AMAZING. The food’s really unique. My American husband wouldn’t stop talking about it for 2 days. We were taken there by our family friends and we ordered like over 20 dishes for 6 adults. I want to promote this place because we saw many foreigners reading the menu in front of the restaurant and walking away…maybe just because they didn’t know what to order. Their fried “man-tow” buns are really good and can be paired with their crispy pork belly slices and their fried cheese or “nom-tod” in Thai. Try their “fried rice with Tua-Nao” ข้าวผัดถั่วเน่า or fried rice with Northern-style “natto”. You can mix this fried rice with other dishes when u eat like with the pork belly slices. It’s delicious. I don’t usually eat the northern Thai “natto” but I do eat it here. Their chicken dish with sour papaya is also good. Try...

This place was close to my hotel and I liked the fact that they had fully green side dishes that are healthy. The place seems very quiet and not a lot of foreigners come here but a lot of locals like it, so I decided to give it a try. I ate the forest fern shoots and fried thin noodles with eggs (small but big for one person). Both were more than filling and tasted good. The greens were sautéed decently well, and I didn't expect anything over the top as I needed some healthy fiber in my diet during travels. On a different day, I had the eggs cooked in some greens with rice, which was great. I didn't go too adventurous with meat. If you're a vegetarian who isn't too picky about what utensils they cook meals in, then...

Thoroughly enjoyed the dishes we tried at this Yunnanese restaurant that friends tell me is long-established and somewhat unique in Chiang Mai. Chicken and cucumber salad is light and fresh, fried pork ribs with ginger and spring onion has great flavor, the fried shitakes are super satisfying, the pork belly with pickled vegetables was surprisingly sweet and rich with a chutney-like flavor, the pumpkin shoots were perfectly cooked and the fried bread was great to soak up all the juices. A really nice change of flavors and a surprisingly large menu. It was hard to choose so we'll be going back...

Yunnan cuisine and very good at that. Tried the fried pork belly slices paired it with the fried rice with shrimp paste and pretty much ended up with bacon fried rice and who can say no to that!! To salve the guilty conscience, had the chayote shoots with scrambled eggs. Paired it all with a Singha and was all set. Highly recommended and prices are low and portions reasonable. Service was very helpful, but pretty much point at menu and in a pinch, Google Translate to the rescue. Worked out fine. P.S: For the more adventurous, they also have a variety of insect protein dishes - I am not there yet!

The restaurant might not look very appealing from the outside, but I have been eating at the restaurant for almost 10 years and all the food here never disappoint. They have mostly Chinese food , but also offer some Thai dishes. The ingredients are fresh , and the tastes are very consistent. The price is also very reasonable. The atmosphere here gives me the feeling that they emphasize on the quality of the food not the decoration. For a Thai person living in Chiang Mai, this restaurant offers the best taste among other restaurants on the same road ( Rachamankha Road). 👍😊
