Chaba Restaurant Phuket — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

Worst restaurant in Phuket. The staff are rude and obnoxious and extremely disrespectful towards guests. We were at Outrigger Laguna beach resort and made the receptionist call to check if they had lobster as 2 days earlier there weren’t any when we went! Chaba said they do & came to pick us in 10 minutes. When we arrived literally 5 mins later there was ONE lobster. We are a family of 5. All wanted lobsters!! So my husband told them we checked especially to come eat those and now there aren’t enough so kindly drop us back !! To this the Driver refused! He infact shouted at us and then turned away and left the entrance! When I called for the manager he too conveniently said the driver is refusing to drop you back!! What kind of Rude, Disrespectful and messed up service is this!! We will never go to Chaba again! It is already over priced and a touristy place where they make tourists into Idiots. Would...

I agree with the previous reviewer; the food is good and consistently good. I’ve been going to Chaba for more than 10 years (I visit Phuket once or twice a year, excluding the pandemic years) and it has never disappointed me. They do a good mean steam lime fish and you get to choose your live fish up at the front. I always enjoy their pineapple rice with prawns and their stir fried morning glory. Their cashew chicken is also very good. Prices are also extremely reasonable and they provide complimentary transfers. Dining is in tranquil surroundings by a lake as well. What more can...

Stumbled across this during a morning walk from our hotel at Hilton. Prices seem reasonable so we came back for dinner as the partner wanted lobster and they quote a reasonable price of 250B per 100g. (Cheapest in fact as one at boat ave quote us 395B per 100g!) Was the best choice made in Bangtao area. 👍🏻 We had lobster, a small crab and tom yum soup. All 3 items were so yummy! 🤤 The crab and lobster was extremely fresh and meat was firm and crunchy. And So I have no idea why this place gets bad reviews? They deserve a 4 star or 5...
