Hugo Hub Phuket — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

Hugo hub is a fantastic spot to go chill and watch the sunset in Bang Tao - Feels like a hidden gem in the south side of the beach.

There are multiple food shacks to choose from, you could go up yourself or order with one of the waiters. (Better to order yourself)

5 star for the atmosphere.

5 star for the food (try taco mamma's avocado tacos, unreal/cocktails really good too).

3 star for the service - One of the waiters took our order, there were three of us and he wasn't writing any of it down so already I was skeptical. I repeated the order once through at the end to make it easier for him to remember and he still ordered too much food. When we explained to the cook we didn't order the extra portions she went and spoke to one of the waiters/bar staff and he came over with a massive attitude, he shouted at us saying that he asked us what we wanted to eat two times to double check when in actually fact I repeated the order a second time as I doubted his memory.

I was very close to telling him "he should carry a notebook" but I decided to bite my tongue and pay for the extra food, it was not the cooks fault after all.

He did not handle this situation professionally at all

What a fantastic find this was!! Nestled right on the edge of the seafront, this vibrant street-style food court is a paradise for food lovers. There’s a great mix of food vendors offering a range of cuisines, with a relaxed seating area and a bar at the end overlooking the sea – the atmosphere is just perfect.

We visited for tea one evening and sampled a bit of everything – the Green Thai Curry (when in Rome!), grilled skewers from the beach BBQ hut (both beef and chicken – delicious!), and some tacos from the Mexican shack. We happened to go on a Tuesday, which meant we got to enjoy their “Taco Tuesday” deal – just 99 baht per taco!

The bar at the end serves local beer that’s not only tasty but really affordable too. It’s the kind of place where you could easily spend hours soaking up the vibe. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, good value, and a laid-back...

Easily my favourite place on the island. There is a variety of food choices, an amazing atmosphere and pretty sunsets every single day. Some people might say I'm part of the furniture, but there is nowhere else I'd rather be. The staff are AMAZING and make an effort to know you, your drink orders and always make you feel at home. Special shout-out to Ardee for making fantastic cocktails and shots, and to Tony and Pai for being fab. Hugo Hub is dog-friendly, family-friendly and you can even work during the day there. But even better than that, most evenings they have a different DJ; each one brings a different vibe and all of the ones that I've experienced manage to bring everybody together.
