Kati Beach Bar and Restaurant — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

Kati Beach Bar and Restaurant was originally Tony’s Seafood Restaurant which was previously located in the Laguna area. We are so glad to find this beautiful restaurant once again and the food was just as marvelous as before. Perhaps priced above the median, the service and delicious fresh seafood was well worth it. Their new restaurant is tucked at the end of the road which made it slightly more difficult to find at night…. Just remember the road ends at the beach!!!! Their mango sticky rice is prepared to perfection!!! The restaurant is great for either a romantic meal away from the hustle town or a family of four with kiddos running around or even a huge group. Great place! You can tell it’s newly opened, but that’s because the staff is highly attentive and everything is brand new.

We had a great meal with the best shrimp I’ve had in Asia (excellently prepared, in tamarind sauce). We also had a snapper in chili sauce, minced pork, chicken Panang, and fried rice. All were excellent.

The drinks could be better, but our red wine (red from Bordeaux) was excellent.

We went here on a rainy evening and it was still excellent. Without rain it’s the perfect dinner spot on the beach, but comes close even with rain.

I recommend all to come by for the food! (And definitely try the tamarind shrimp)

This is a GEM of a place. A MUST if you’re on the Surin Beach or the Bangtao beach area. It sits right in between and is a great find! Junie(I hope I spelled her name right) and the rest of the servers were FANTASTIC!!! Top notch service. The food is also DELICIOUS!! We had the STIR FRIED YELLOW NOODLE and the seafood soup (I can’t remember the name right now. And of course for dessert We had the beautiful Mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream. Try them together and you’ll thank me. The Mai tai was also wonderful. An outright superb experience. And you get free a shuttle to and from is needed....
