I ordered a delivery because I have been so curious to try the food since a while but I never had the time to go visit this restaurant..
Haidari was watery, it should be way thicker than this.
Icli kofte was not good at all, very thick bulgar shell and very little stuffing. One piece for 150 Baht, and the menu photo shows 2 pieces. Wouldnt mind the 150 Baht for 1 piece if it tasted good.
Lahmachun was too strong with tomato paste. It covered the flavor of all the meat, vegetables, spices and killed the whole thing. Way too much tomato paste.
Chicken shish was OK, though it should be made with chicken breast not thighs, because chicken thigh meat is tough and the marination will not go inside the meat, so you only get flqvor on the outside.
Izgara kofte tasted more like Lebanese kofte. Too much onionand I was surprised that I tasted mint. Never ever in any of the izgara kofte recipes I met there was mint. Some add a bit of parsley, some dont. But the most important ingredient in the izgara kofte is the Turkish bread crumbs, and I couldnt taste that at all.
In general the food was accetable, but honestly not as good as I thought so I was a little bit...
Read moreSince we fell in love with the spicy, authentic Turkish food in Turkey, we were very excited about the Istanbul Restaurant because of the many good reviews.
Unfortunately, I have to say that we were very disappointed after our visit. Although the menu contains typical Turkish dishes such as manti, saksuka, börek and much more - it unfortunately doesn't taste authentic. The bread that was served as a nice gesture as an appetizer was unfortunately dry as dust, baked far too crispy and also far too thin. The börek (filled dumplings with spinach and cheese) tasted more like reheated frozen food, so we didn't finish them. The manti (actually a super tasty Turkish dish with a kind of Turkish ravioli and a yoghurt sauce) didn't taste that good either. It all tasted very loveless and rather reheated and not as if it had been freshly prepared.
In addition, the portion of manti (as a main course) was very small for 290 baht, approx. 8€.
Unfortunately, I can't leave a better review here, as in my opinion it's not authentically Turkish and is...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at this Turkish restaurant yesterday with my friends, and it was an absolute delight! The service provided was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience.
The food was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the fresh bread, prawns, and Pide. The flavors were authentic and satisfying, truly capturing the essence of Turkish cuisine.
While we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, we did notice one small area for improvement. The restaurant serves fresh cheese instead of Feta cheese, which are two distinct types of cheese. It would be better if they serve the right those of cheese when you sell it so in the menu :) 😄 you should not sell Feta cheese and serve fresh cheese.
Nevertheless, I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a taste of decent Turkish food. The pricing is reasonable, considering the quality and portion sizes. Overall, our visit was memorable, and we left with satisfied appetites and smiles...
