To summarize my review, simply don’t go here. The lack of professionalism and service is unfortunate, it was a complete waste of time and money and we cut our massage short. Additional details below.
This was by far the absolute worst massage experience that me and my husband have ever experienced in our entire lives. We have been in Thailand for two weeks and had countless massages all over Thailand from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and even numerous massage massages in Phuket. Our 80 baht massage from a night market in Chiang Mai puts this place to shame.
We saw online that this location offered 2 hour Thai massage. When we went The desk and asked for this, they said that they had changed their menu, but they would still accommodate us, which was great.
They started the massage and it was downhill from that point on. My husband has an extremely high pain tolerance and from the initial moment the masseuse laid her hands on him, I heard him yelp. He had to remind her multiple times to be gentle. Even though it was an aggressive massage, we still must commend her because she maintained professionalism, was focused the entire time during the massage and was very kind.
Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Not even 5 minutes into my massage, a cell phone started vibrating and I felt my mat shake. I was shocked when my masseuse answered the call and spoke for an about 1 minute on the phone. I understand that there could potentially be family emergencies or things that arise that are out of your control however, with this being at the beginning of my massage, if something was that urgent, I would’ve expected them to excuse themselves and at least provide me with another massage therapist who would not be distracted and who would focus on my massage and not their phone for the remaining time that we had booked. After this incident there were numerous times every 2 minutes or so that she continued to stop applying pressure and switching her grip during the massage to text message on her phone. Every time I opened my eyes she would then proceed to put both of her hands back on my body to continue the massage. It got so bad to the point that she was not paying attention and over stretched my left leg that I screamed out in pain. I’m hoping there is no damaged to my knee as it hurts to walk and I now have pain shooting down the back of my leg. Her cell phone use was so bad that I couldn’t even relax after the leg incident and I had to keep my eyes open the remainder of my massage so that I could ensure she actually was working on me and didn’t hurt me. However, that backfired because she became extremely lazy and no longer put any effort in the massage and it was a complete waste of time.
Needless to say we were not happy. There was an intermission at the 90 minute mark where both me and my husband decided no longer to continue with the massage because our experience was that terrible. Never in our lives have we ever ended a massage early due to the lack of professionalism and service that we received.
Unfortunately, there is more. After our massage, where 2 other workers confirmed only 90 minutes have passed, we went to pay. My masseuse tried to charge us the full 2 hours each. Very ironic considering she was using her cell phone the entire time and knew that 90 minutes was the “total time”that had passed. Outrageous I was charged the full 90 minutes considering the lulls in the massage for here to text and answer a call. We are paying for a service and to be blatantly ignored during the massage and made to feel like a burden for making them work and fulfill their job duties is very unfortunate.
This was our last day before we travel home and we are sad that this was the lasting and final impression we will have...

My partner and I visited Chivarome Phuket for a relaxing massage, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. I opted for the traditional Thai massage while my partner chose the oil massage—and we were both beyond impressed.
My therapist, Kung, was absolutely amazing. She had a deep understanding of the body and used just the right amount of pressure, combining stretches and pressure points that left me feeling completely rebalanced and energized. It was one of the most effective and rejuvenating Thai massages I’ve ever had.
My partner’s therapist, Fah provided a calming and deeply relaxing oil massage that left them floating. Fah’s technique was smooth, gentle, and incredibly soothing, creating a peaceful and luxurious experience from start to finish.
The ambiance at Chivarome is peaceful, clean, and welcoming. The staff are professional and kind, making the whole visit feel personalized and thoughtful.
If you're in Phuket and looking for a top-notch massage experience, Chivarome is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be coming back next time...
Read moreI feel bad for writing this but I just had one of the worst massages of my life. I actually agree with another review stating that most 5 star reviews are probably fake
I get massages regularly for shoulder pain and sciatica, and I like deep massages that somewhat hurt. This one was honestly painful in all the wrong ways. My masseuse was clearly inexperienced and careless. She jammed her knee directly onto my spine with all her weight - a few times, even after I asked her to stop at least once.
Everything either hurt in a bad way or didn’t feel anything at all, like light strokes. I had no problems with any other Thai massages in Phuket, they’ve all been exceptional except this one. It was a two hour massage and I feel worse now than when I came in.
In addition to the horrible massage, it’s loud, they gossip and laugh about you, there isn’t a hole in the massage bed so you’re straining your neck looking to the side. There are so many other great massage places - I highly recommend Linah’s a couple blocks away next to Spice. Som there is...
